Excellent value for money

Great hotel (although not located in the centre but we knew that), spacious rooms, cosy pools. Easy to get to water activities - frankly not one bad thing to say...

Private, villa-feel

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Facilities and staff
Cons: Mattresses were not very good
Location: Not much around the actual resort, except a couple plazas; a 5 - 10 minute drive to the old town, where all the fun is at
Very nice secluded feel to resort, very private, facilities made you feel like you were on your own island.

Great looking resort, but lacks amenities

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: It is a beautiful looking resort , with a great waterside location and great swimming pool areas.
Cons: Either increase the catering facilities or put kitchenettes in the rooms. Improve the comfort of the room furnishings.
Location: Great location alongside the waterfront. Right beside the shopping malls.
We stayed as a couple at this resort. It is a large resort with hundreds of rooms. But there are not enough eating or dining facilities at the resort of within walking distance. You need to drive to eat.The rooms were very clean and roomy but lacked basic furniture needs such as a desk and chair. There are no lounge chairs to sit on. There is no kitchen or meal preparation facilities.

Beautiful but not convenient

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Hotel is beautiful, staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was missing our porch chairs, but the chairs in the sand were ok to sit in. Our room was located right by the sunset rental booth and so it wasn't very relaxing in the mornings. Construction was really loud but there is nothing they could do about that. I would have a shuttle for their customers-it's on the other side of the island from everything so you have to pay for a cab everywhere! Don't even waste your money renting a car because there is absolutely no parking anywhere, best to take a cab or rent a bike. Also the beach they shuttle to is dirty and smells, go to Ft. Zachary Taylor State Park beach instead. Restauraunt at hotel is very over priced-instead go to Blue Haven or Firefly for breakfast or bunch! Overall I wouldn't stay at this hotel again because it's not close to any of the sights and activities of the island, with the money I spent on cab fare everyday I could have afforded a hotel down in old town!

Lovely room in the midst of a tropical forest.

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: The scenery around the grounds as well as the artwork outside and inside the rooms were my favorite!
Cons: I wish the food would have been a little more affordable so I could have just stayed on the property the entire trip!
Location: Loved renting the bicycles! I hated we had to go around so much construction though.-which wasn't mentioned when I phoned asking about the resort.
This was a lovely room with a small back porch that had a sandy walkway next to the waterway. The grounds were kept up very well. Lots of coconut trees and tropical plants. Walking to the pools you really felt like you were in a tropical forest. The food at the cafe was very delicious but expensive. Staff was very pleasant and courteous but could have been more informative.

pleasant enough

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: plenty of parking. 4 pools gave variety. 24 hour CVS next door, came in handy when my daughter got sick at 3am.
Cons: poor internet reception, kept cutting in and out.
Location: not much to do around hotel but down town was a 5 minute drive.
Stayed for 2 nights as a quick getaway with my 2 daughters (6 and 10). room was spacious although it took a while to locate the fridge inside TV cabinet. Free wifi was available but found it patchy and unreliable. staff were all friendly and helpful. Was expecting more but did relax. Down town Key West was pleasant enough and kids enjoyed climbing old lighthouse.

Pay the maximum, get the minimum

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Leaving the hotel was the only thing we liked
Cons: Close the hotel!
I paid 500 dollars for a night, for a room EXCLUDING breakfast, only with garden view. The room was extremely dark. The room does not even have a safe. The hotel pretends to have breakfast, lunch and dinner facilitites. Reality is: there is only a small cafe, with a an extremely narrow choice. You have to eat with plastic forch an knife. In spite of this, the prices are very high. Moreover, the hotel is very far from the center and it offers no shuttle to the center. Going to the center is about two miles, so you need a car. And parking in key west is very difficult.

Very relaxing villa feel.

Surprisingly more beautiful than expected. Every area was a wow. The only thing missing was a private beach and a bar open after 9.
