It was a good experience. It is located next to a mall and a 10 minute drive from The French Quarter.

Cons: Complete remodel would be a start
This was the only Hotel available near New Orleans due to a festival weekend. The rates were triple what they should have been for a hotel of this quality . Our first room smelled of urine . After moving to another room the wifi was not working there. The front desk put me in contact with a technical support person who after 45 mins realized one of the hotels routers was bad. Needless to say I will not be back

Worst hotel everPosted Jul 1, 2014
We actually asked for a refund as we decided not to stay in this hotel. The moment you enter the building you can smell a strong smell. The room looked okay but the room was in front of the pool which was extremely noisy.

Made it overnight!Posted Jun 16, 2014
We were in town for only one night, thank God! If we were staying longer we would've definitely found a different hotel to stay. The room was clean but outdated and the bathroom made me feel like we were at a motel instead, bathtub was old and shower curtain too. I don't know if gnats came in from outside or were already in the room but I came across one or two. Go thing I travel with Lysol and bathroom cleaner. Upside was the hotel was right next to a mall!

Okay hotelPosted Jun 2, 2014
When we walked into the room when we first got there the bed was upmade, drinks on the table and the bathroom light was on with I'm assuming someone in it. We went back asked for another room and explained why they were very sorry and have us another room with a fridge and microwave in it. The new room smelled of humidity but was fine over all.

Perfect locationPosted May 26, 2014
Hotel was next door to the mall and far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet close enough to the night time entertainment.

Was great and it's in a great locationPosted May 20, 2014
It's in a great location with lots of shopping and food places. Only 5 mins from downtown New Orleans. We took a taxi cause it's a lot easier than trying to find parking and then u don't have to worry about drinking and driving.

Just what I expectedPosted May 19, 2014
Pros: It was clean and comfortable.
Cons: It would be nice to have an exercise room.
Location: Easy access to the freeway and bridge. Tis a mall and an IHop next to the hotel.
I moved my family to the La Quinta after staying in a Choice Hotel down the road that was a dump. I drove through the La Quinta before I made the reservation. It was a typical old style La Quinta so I knew what to expect. Being from San Antonio I have been in alot of La Quinta hotels, including the first La Quinta. I was delighted that it was just what I expected. It was clean and well maintained. The front desk staff was good and very helpful. There was only one problem with our room . It didn't have a trash can. I met a housekeeping room inspector in the stairwell by our room and requested a trash can for our room. She said she would get one and put it in the room. We didn't get a trash can, but the next morning the maids woke the kids up and gave them 2 gaint trashbags. I later went to the front desk and got a trash can. Since not having a trash can was an over sight of an inspector. I thought it was strange that the inspector didn't bother getting one put in the room. The grounds were clean and well maintained and the pool area was very nice. The hotel was full of families that Saturday night and several business personal on Sunday. Everyone at the pool and at the free breakfast in the mornings seemed happy and enjoying their stay. After the mess we left down the road it was comforting to have a nice place to stay. The location was great. It is next to the freeway, mall, and an Ihop resturant.

vacation Trip to New OrleansPosted May 15, 2014
Pros: Friendliness of staff.
Cons: Verifying that the room they are checking you into isn't occupied.
Location: Trip into city requires going across a bridge that is under construction and a major rush-hour route.
Too far from French Quarter. Required a drive to into the city which never took less that half-an-hour, mosty about 45 minutes to an hour, depending upon time of day. This may be a nice place to stay if you're passing though and don't have to go into the city more than once. Staff was very friendly and cordial, although they originally put me in an occupied room.
