Great choice for Guaruja

I'd stay here again in a heartbeat if I come back to visit Guaruja. The hotel has the pieces in place that you'd expect. Clean room, nice breakfast, great location, rooftop pool.

Lovely hotel on a great beach!

I had read reports of noise at this hotel, so was expecting that. However, noise levels were low, except for one night when people in a neighbouring building were making some noise. I had taken earplugs with me and this soon solved the problem. All other aspects were great. The rooftop pool area is fantastic, with great views and good bar service at reasonable cost. The rooms are not large, but very comfortable and clean with very powerful air conditioning. The beach opposite was great. Front desk staff very friendly. Free wifi internet worked well. Breakfast was good. Very happy with this hotel and would stay again.

Good value, not for noise sensitive guests

Pros: a lot of nice details one might miss in rooms of other hotels which makes stay more comfortable
Cons: breakfast buffet organisation
Location: It's a little off the main beach kiosks, but convenient to get to the smaller and more beautiful beaches a little north (in case you have a car)
A fairly new hotel with a lot attention to detail what one would miss in other hotels (e.g. a lot of storage space in the bath room, light, power plugs,...). Depending on what you are seeking it might be a little far off. Biggest downside is that basically every room's door is towards the lobby. Although, there is a lot of signs to keep silence after 10pm, noise is unavoidable in case of late arrivals or during the weekend when people coming home late. Even just the receptionists talking to each other can be heard in some of the rooms and wake/keep you up. So bring your ear plugs! Also, the space for the breakfast buffet is limited. It might happen that if you want to toast your bread that you have to wait until other guest's are ready with getting scrambled eggs...
