Comfort Inn renovationPosted Sep 14, 2014
When the taxi driver pulled into the hotel around midnight, his first response was "uh oh." The place looked abandoned, with shuttered lobby windows and door. The rooms were only slightly better. However, The sheets and pillows were the highlight of the stay. They were clean and seemed fairly new.

Wish we knew the hotel was under construction!Posted Sep 3, 2014
The hotel staff was very nice. However, the hotel was under construction. Wouldn't have stayed here had we known prior to making reservations. They made a couple rooms into front desk and breakfast area, which was ackward at best. Breakfast was very crowded. Not worth the $200/night! Very disappointed. Will spend a little more to stay somewhere else for our next visit to Ithaca. Don't waste your money on this place!

The devil is in the details!Posted Aug 23, 2014
The hotel was adequate for our stay in order to visit Cornell. However, they really need to go around and look at some of the drab dirty details. He really would not stay here again. The breakfast area was crowded not wipe well at all and often out of periods food. Also, when you look behind the check in desk it was very messy and on And if the management cannot keep its own area neat and clean how can they be expected to keep the entire hotel neat and clean?

Low cost with friendly staffPosted Aug 20, 2014
Location: There is at least one of everything in a mile radius. Did not have to venture far for anything.
It was a nice place, close to every convenience you could possible think of, and within a 2 minutes drive of a majority of the major gorges and hiking spots. Would stay there again.

Pros: Hotel is clean, the breakfast is decent the beds are comfortable and the linen is nice.
This your basic hotel and it delivers basics very well. It is close to Cornell and even runs a shuttle to get there. The staff was nice and helpful

It can improvePosted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: At this time nothing
Cons: Complementary breakfast, if everything is empty or out of order, I think, it is advisable, eliminate it.
Location: Ithaca is a beautiful place, many things to do and see. Very close to the hotel recently opened a Denis, in case something similar happens
This is not the first time we stay in this hotel. I can properly say, that the hotel has invested in some minor investment improving the room, The price of this hotel, which was not cheap at all, includes, a complementary breakfast, however, the space for the breakfast was not clean, the waste can were full, with no space to put trashes. It was 9:00 am on Sunday, and there was no coffee; the waffle deposit was empty. For client satisfaction they should get coffee from a close store, and avoid this kind of inconvenient.

Hotel is clean, good condition and close to many attractions in the area. We stayed four nights to tour the local attractions including the state parks and wineries. Good for family stay.

Knows the College MarketPosted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: The room was clean. Your housekeeping staff does a nice job.
Cons: Humidify the air. Evaluate room sizes and adjust bedding. Our room had two doubles, but was better suited to one king (in terms of size).
Location: Ithaca is a wonderful town--wonderful local hiking trails.
We spent two nights in a small room with double-beds. The facility was clean. My daughter and I sat in the lobby one night reading so that my husband could sleep. Food in the morning was acceptable. It was a cramped room for the cost.

south side of IthacaPosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: the staff
Cons: new carpets in the rooms and halls.
Location: Buttermilk falls and another state park with fall a few miles down
This Comfort Inn was a little shabbier than most but the staff was excellent. It's a quick ride into the center of town. Just a few blocks south is Buttermilk Fall where you can swim ( for $7) and hike .
