The hotel met our expectations. Was comfortable resort. Limited restaurant, etc. facilities. Facilities available had limited hours. Staff friendly.

Nice Hotel

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: It had a home away from home atmosphere.
Cons: A coffee pot in the room would have been nice.
Location: Close enough to main attractions in this area.
Clean room, nice staff, great location. Close to the Grand Tetons, Jackson Hole and South Entrance to Yellowstone Nat'l Park.

Decent value for the area

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Room was clean and attractive. Great shower! Wifi was $3 and worked well.
Cons: Directions and signage to the hotel. The restaurant was expensive. $14 for a salad? We ate elsewhere.
Location: There are horse trails and hiking trails nearby on the Turpin Meadow Loop road that were beautiful places for a short hike.
The Hatchet Resort is not in Moran Junction itself, but abut 8 miles east in a lovely valley with beautiful views. Access to Grand Teton Park is easy, but finding the hotel was not. You will pass several signs for Hatchet Ranch (that's not it) and then see a sign for the resort, but you are still not there. Keep going and look for electric sign and gas pumps.

Very nice

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: Everything! Mostly the comfort and the quiet peaceful location.
Location: While staying here, we were close enough that we spent time in Jackson Hole, Grand Tetons and in a Yellowstone.h
Most comfortable motel that I have ever stayed at. The bed was so comfy, I slept the best ever. Clean rooms and loved the decor. Nice, quiet and peaceful location . Loved this place.

High price, low amenities

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Rustic look
Cons: Ceiling fan would be nice. Also, provide a hair dryer and coffee pot.
Location: Nothing to do. Only thing near was Grand Teton park.
Nice place, clean, but...this was the most expensive place I have ever stayed at to have no amenities! No air conditioning, no fan. There was no coffee pot, or hair dryer. No bath tub, just a shower. Felt like I was cheated. Did have a nice tv, but not many channels.

Pros: Beautiful view of the Grand Tetons.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Pretty isolated.
Strange bathroom that they had attempted to make handicapped accessible which was ridiculous since the room was not. Towel bar was hung very low next to (touching) the toilet. The room was small and had a lot of furniture. There were absolutely no amenities. No air conditioner, no telephone, no coffee maker, no ice machine, etc. We could not understand why this was called a resort. The "office" was the gift shop. The only staff was the person that worked in the gift shop. Very dissatisfied with everything.

Log cabin effect

Posted Aug 3, 2014
Cons: Friendliness of some staff.
Location: This is out in the middle of no where. I could not believe it when we came on the hotel because I thought it was going to be in town but it is not.
If you want to stay in a log cabin, this is it. All the rooms are like log cabins, yet they are attached to each other. Some staff was friendly, others not. Breakfast in grill was good. Dinner at Restaraunt was excellent. This is about the only place to stay for miles around, so you don't have much choice. It is rustic.
