“Five friends and I stayed at the Mill House in May 2023. The host, Daniel, was simply a delight to meet and chat with, and gave us some really good recommendations for site-seeing which we were able to use further into our trip. The Mill House is very large, and we loved having the huge kitchen and living areas. The bathrooms were a bit dicey to be honest, but what can you expect in an historic house? To me, it was worth not having updated appliances and bathrooms in order to get to enjoy the……

“We came from Bray through wicklow mts to Carlow and visited Kilkenny on st patricks day. The duplex is brand new and sparrkling clean. Prettierin person than the pics. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen has all you need with microwave and washing machine. The towels are very soft. The view fantastic. The couch reclines and very comfortable. Nothing we were in need of. Will come back again. Ann is a wonderful host and is just like family. She went out of her way to take care of us. Her……

“Nore View House was warm, cosy and homely. Just what we needed on a December break. Fergus was a helpful and welcoming host. I would love to return for a longer break with a bunch of friends”

“This was a very lovely house, however there was an oil leak with a VERY STRONG ODOR !! This odor gave me a headache. The owner was aware of this problem because her son came over shortly after we arrived, said that they would get someone out to repair it but after 4 nights it was not repaired.. The electric tea kettle had so much red liquid sediment in it I was afraid to use it .. The liquid hand soap dispenser was almost empty in the bathroom. No extra toilet paper was provided.”

“Wir haben einen tollen Urlaub in Thomastown verbracht. Am Tag der Anreise hatten wir Glück und konnten schon früher in das Haus. John war sehr nett. Es gibt viele tolle Ziele in der Nähe Jerpoint Abbey, Kilfane Wasserfall, Kells Priory, Kilkenny Castle und vieles mehr.”

“This was our first trip to Ireland and we chose the Granary as a home base as we visited many different sites. It is a great location for day trips to Kilkenny, Cliffs of Moher, Waterford, Cahir, Rock of Cashel, Cork and Dublin. Bee is a wonderful host! She met us when we arrived and showed us around. The home is very clean, well appointed and quiet. Upon leaving we didn’t have to worry about any chores which was wonderful! Highly recommend!”

“Yvonne and Peter couldn't be more accommodating! Yvonne met us to discuss the cottage. She had nice touches to make everything cozy. It was incredibly clean! We felt at home immediately! It was a wonderful base camp for Kilkenny and several other places. We loved Portlaoise and enjoyed several trips into town ( only a 10 minute drive) We loved their dogs and enjoyed spending time getting to know them. ( Our choice, they are very respectful of privacy) I absolutely recommend their place 100%!!”

“Das Grundstück und die zwei Häuschen sind mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Alles sehr schön und gut ausgestattet. Sehr sauber. Jedoch sehr abgelegen und die Anfahrt doch etwas beschwerlich. Wir hätten uns gewünscht, dass wir einen Kontakt in der Nähe gehabt hätten, der uns auch etwas einweisen hätte können. Der Vermieter ist in Amerika. Er war zwar sehr bemüht uns bei Problemen zu helfen, aber ein persönlicher Kontakt wäre einfach sinnvoller gewesen. Für Gruppen und Familien sehr zu empfehlen.”
