Nice hotel and well located but needs a refresh !

Cons: Non-smoking room and breakfast should run till 1100am. If McDo can do it, they can !
The front desk did not invent the friendless. We are arrived late at around 1000 PM. When they gave us the room, it smells like if a smoker was in the room. Obviously, went back to front desk and mentioned that we reserved a non-smoking room. They gave us a another room which was lot better but this is not the service that we expect after a long day trip. Well located if you go to NYC and the bus ride is right if front of the hotel! The breakfast is very good but be there early otherwise, it is like traffic in the morning ! They close the breakfast too early which is sad 1000 am. They should be opened till 1030 or 100 am at least for the amount of room they have in the hotel. YvesC

Pros: Location, bus service to NYC, breakfast was wonderful
Cons: Front staff needs to be friendlier--they didn't want to be bothered to take time out to answer any questions.
Location: Shopping,restaurants
Small room but clean. Bus stop conveniently located across the street.

Pros: Not much.
Cons: Better planning. If you know you are going to be sold out over the weekend you need to be prepared with the right amount of staff and supplies.
Location: Convenient to restaurants nearby and shuttle to train station was good.
This hotel was VERY outdated and extremely understaffed. It took over 40 minutes, and 4 different trips to the front desk to get clean pool towels. Each morning we were there they ran out of food, utensils and plates during breakfast. There was only 1 person clearing tables and cleaning up so it was VERY messy and unorganized. The door to our bathroom was warped and it was hard to get open without the help of someone from the outside pushing it open. The front desk staff was not very helpful when trying to get information about how to get to/from NYC. We opted to cut our trip short and leave a day early.

I will only stay in embassy suites whenever I go to NYC. Even though it is in Jersey I rather commute and stay at this wonderful hotel than be inside the city staying somewhere else.

All was well. Great room, awesome breakfast! Clean room and great location. The pool and hot tub could use a good cleaning but other than that everything was great!

Pros: Breakfast is very good.
Cons: Customer service.
Location: Network city. There are lots of things to do in the city.
I checked in and was told the room I reserved was not available. I was told by the front desk that he would discount my room rate by 25 percent, and the next day I could move to the room I reserved. The next day we were getting ready to go to breakfast and the toilet stopped up. I called the front desk and was told someone would be right up, after waiting for about 45 minutes I called back and was told they will check to see why no one came to fix the toilet. About 20 minutes later someone came to fix the toilet. I never received a call regarding me to move to the room I reserved. I have been coming to this hotel (embassy suites) for about 6 years. I have never made a reservation and then arrive at the hotel to be told the room is not available and not just 1 night but both nights and they didn't know what happened. I am very disappointed. I will check other options the next time I come to secaucus Nj.

The hotel was well situated for my business trip. Room was pretty gross. Smelled of cleaning products and cigarettes. Came home and opened my suitcase and was reminded of the terrible smell. The bathroom was not cleaned well after the previous guest. Hair balls all over the shower, no shampoo. There are a bunch of other hotel options in that area. I'll try a different one next time.
