Work trip

Staff is fine here but the property is in desperate need of a redux. My room was shabby and the carpet was visibly filthy. Good was ok for free. I think I paid Manhattan-like prices without getting much. Public spaces are fine as expected but the rooms need attention.

Excellent hotel

Posted Jun 16, 2015
Pros: Large rooms
Cons: New carpet
Location: It is very safe, you can walk around to shops and restaurants. The Japanese place is excellent
I was apprehensive staying in NJ, we usually stay in Times Square. It was so easy getting to the city. The rooms are large, breakfast is free, and the bus stop is right across the street. Very convienient. I will stay here each time I visit the city.

The best hotel!

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: everything
Cons: nothing.
Location: there is an outback house in the area movie theatres and more
The staff was amazing, the complimentary drinks were delicious, and the room was beautiful. The next morning the complimentary breakfast was amazing so many choices to choose from. The pool, the gym everything was very accessible and there wasn't many people occupying the machines or pool area. It was a nice stay very clean and impressed with this hotel :) will definitely be returning to this hotel in the near future. And will be recommending friends and family. Also clerk Jennifer at front desk was very helpful she was a help and made booking easy for my family,

I enjoyed the stay. The rooms were nice and clean. The bar lacked certain popular liquors however. The breakfast was also good.

Nice for the money

The hotel staff is friendly. It's convenient for what I am in NJ for but the hotel is very outdated. The carpets are stained and the bathroom sink leaked.

Not a great hotel!

Posted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: Not much but Jason the bartender did his best to wait on the hordes. He worked his bum off.
Cons: More staff, especially when they have a big show there.
Location: Close in to NYC.
The Ireland Show is held at this hotel every year and we consistently, year after year, have terrible customer service. Only one bartender and the line to get a drink was ridiculous. I counted 62 people in line one night! They ran out of food, trays, utensils at breakfast every morning. Even ran out of lunch items. Very short staffed. What staff there was were very pleasant and did there best but were just overwhelmed. Was put in a studio room (thought all rooms at Embassy Suites were suites?). Very small room and couldn't eat and watch TV as the only place to sit and watch TV was the bed. Would not let me upgrade as they said I had prepaid for my room on Expedia and couldn't be modified.

Great for families

The Embassy Suites is perfect for us, as we are a large family. The room is split into a front "living room" and a rear "bedroom". 2 Double beds and a pullout sofa. We did have one issue. We had a burst pipe in the hallway. The management asked immediately if we wanted to switch rooms and we were credited for one nights stay, which completely satisfied us. Embassy Suites hot breakfast is a big bonus. Buffet style breakfast and egg and pancake station The local area is excellent. Places to eat and shopping are right at your doorstep. To get into the city, you will take the Lincoln Tunnel. Toll is $14, but if you have a car pool and an EZ-Pass the toll is only $3. Make sure that you allow an hour to get into the city from the hotel. It is only 14 miles, but the traffic can be insane. Leave the city by 4pm or after 6pm to avoid rush hour and a 2.5 hour drive. In the morning either get in the city by 5am or leave after rush hour at 10am.
