Staff were great, poor housekeeping.

Pros: price
Cons: not very clean and bathroom smelled musty with a hint of urine smell. :(
Location: 25-35 min bus ride into Times Square. Liquor store, Wendy's, Subway, and Sinbad restaurant across the street. No shopping nearby.
Good place to stay if you don't mind the travel time to NYC. Sinbad's restaurant across the street was excellent with fabulous breakfasts.

Good value great location near New York city

Posted Aug 6, 2014
We stayed here for the weekend on a budget so we can have more money for visiting New York city. It's well worth the money. Although we had a car there were busses going from the hotel to New York city.

The dirtiest room I've ever stayed in

Posted Jul 30, 2014
I stayed in Red Roof Plus Secaucus/Meadowlands in the fourth week of July 2014 with my family. They have a management problem. Obviously, they haven't cleaned up the floor of the bathroom/toilet for months. Or it could be for years. I spotted a pile of dusts and hair along the edge of the floor in the bathroom, so I wiped them out with toilet tissue. The tissue turned black and captured tens of previous guests' hair. No exaggeration. Also, one of the bedside lightings (that are installed on the wall above the beds) wasn't working, but it was a minor downside compared to the dirtiness of the bathroom floor. The fridge was working, tv was working, and the beds were not bad at all. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who care about the cleanliness of hotel rooms.
