Nice hotelPosted Sep 14, 2014
Location: Tram stops right outside which gave great access to the main attractions.
So glad I didnt take any notice of some of the reviews. Yes the hotel could do with abit of arefurbishment, however the rooms were clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for a visit to Blackpool. We stayed in a double room which was a ideal size as when you are in Blackpool you do not want to spend all your time in your room.

This hotel should not be offered by ExpediaPosted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: The location was excellent with a tram stop nearby and there was a large car park.
Cons: Basically - everything. The hotel needs a total refurbishment - it was simply appalling.
Location: Frequent trams go from very close to the hotel to Blackpool and Fleetwood.
Avoid this hotel at all costs. On arrival, my daughter had to queue up behind several people already checked in who were complaining about their rooms. The room (which was supposed to an upgrade!) was shabby with peeling wallpaper and had not been properly cleaned with stains everywhere and dirt around the windows. The bathroom was stained and absolutely filthy. The beds were like concrete and the pillows were like hardboard. There was lots of noise from other guests and music went on late into the night. I accept that this was not an expensive hotel but there is no excuse for the level of dirt and filth. The staff tried their best but the management and owners (Pontins apparently) ought to be ashamed. I booked this hotel after a quick check on Expedia where reviews were mediocre but not too bad. Those on Tripadvisor - where an enormous majority rate it terrible - are more accurate. This hotel should not be offered by Expedia - I feel let down by Expedia for offering it.

Hotel Needs a Good CleanerPosted Sep 1, 2014
Cons: Cleanliness is a must.
Location: Quite far out form the centre and tower but very close to the tram stop.
We stayed at this hotel, luckily for just one night. The room was not very clean and the bathroom was filthy. The breakfast was ok but very busy, which I suppose is to be expected for a hotel of this size. The hotel is in real need of an upgrade, however you do get what you pay for next time I will choose one of the more traditional bed and breakfasts.

Cheap stayPosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: The staff were lovely and very helpful
Cons: Have family rooms maybe in a quieter part of the hotel and don't put people with young children right next door to a group of hen or stag parties
Location: Location was great. Very close to Blackpool
Booked two rooms for one night. The room was comfortable enough however being right above the ballroom it was very noisy until well after 11.30pm. People shouting in the corridor and slamming doors until after 3am. My young grandson and myself were lucky to get 3 hours sleep. Wouldn't recommend to families with young children.

Will not come back, neither should you.Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Evening entertainment was fine though.
Cons: Everything needs updating
If you read bad reviews about this hotel, they're all true. Hotel decor is dated and all areas of the hotel seem very dirty. So was the room. Staff attitude is okay but they're not very helpful if there is a problem. Room itself (standard double) was quite small and extremely dirty. Although it was non smoking room I could definitely smell tar in it. Breakfast - full english was horrible. Worst sausages you ever ate? You haven't tried the ones they serve in Norbreck Castle Hotel then. Poor quality. I settled for toast and jam in the end. In few words, although I red reviews before visiting, I still was unleasantly surprised.

Norbreck Hotel in declinePosted Jul 28, 2014
I have been coming to the Norbreck Castle Hotel for over thirty years and will not be coming back. I booked via the Internet and when we arrived there was a big queue and was not treated with respect. Eventually we got a room key. We were not told the meal times but i expected that there would be a hotel directory which there was none to be found. The room overlooked pipeworkes and wanted to change rooms and the only room available was on the fifth floor which was unsuitable. At night we could not get to sleep as about three in the morning as a couple were having a. row in an adjoining room. In the morning the dining room was like a market with no welcome whatsoever and all the tables were placed near each other and on our way out people we having breakfast in the.lounge. We left straight after breakfast and will not be coming back to the Norbreck Castle Hotel again.

Lovely family orientated hotelPosted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Customer service was excellent
Location: Beach location, tram stop on the doorstep & is just a short ride into central promenade where there's the fun fair, shops, market, theatres pubs etc
Myself and my 7 yr old Grandaughter had a lovely experience at the hotel, everyone was extremely helpful and kind. Breakfast was lovely and lots of variety to suit all. Evening Entertainment was wonderful. Room was small but clean & comfortable. Beautiful beach location. Many thanks.
