In its day a fantastic hotel

Pros: The views over the marina towards the islands are fantastic.
Cons: The rooms need urgent modernisation and proper maintenence.
Location: The hotel is isolated although a shuttle service is provided to the nearest town. It is much easier to hire a car as to get around the island.
The hotels is in an isolated location with fantastic views of nearby islands from the wooden deck next to the marina. Unfortunately the wooden deck is long overdue for repair with some planks rotting and others sprung so people are at risk of tripping up. The hotel has a swimming pool but no beach. The rooms are old and tired and long overdue for refurbishment. They have separate shower rooms and toilet with a hand basin in the bedroom and no clothes drying rail which given that the hotel is a resort next to the sea is very shortsighted of the management. The rooms have both ceiling fans and air conditioning which is just as well as despite the hotel's attempt to repair the air conditioning, it did not work!

Pros: The breakfast buffet.
Cons: The customer service.
Location: There are plenty of food along the Chenang Beach. Our favourite is Orkid Rita Seafood Restaurant.
Location of the hotel is at the tip of the island so making your way to the centre does take a while. It is really cheap to rent a car at the airport. Just make sure to rent from a reputable company. The service of the the hotel could be improved with basic courtesy towards the guests. I was greeted by the most grumpiest front desk lady. Felt so unwelcome and she was short with her responses towards my questions. The room itself needs refurbishment especially for a hotel with such renowned reputation in other countries like Singapore and Genting Highlands. Basic amenities given but I was expecting more. The plus side is the buffet breakfast. They do offer a wide selection of cereal, hot food, salads and breads.

De staat van onderhoud laat te wensen over; beschadigingen in en bij het bad,traprelingen moesten nodig opnieuw in de verf gezet worden.fontein zat vol met aanslag.Dit zijn slechts enkele voorbeelden. Tijdens het ontbijt loopt er een massa personeel rond maar zij zien niets. Om 7.00 is er meer dan genoeg maar later wordt er onvoldoende aangevuld. Een dame die de kaartjes moet aftekenen {als je gaat ontbijten} staat er kauwgomkauwend/ongeinteresseerd bij. De receptie zegt dat ik de Wifi code ,gratis als je in de lobby zit, bij de bar moet vragen.Bar verwijst mij weer terug naar de receptie.Het spreekwoord van het kastje en de muur gaat hier volledig op. Volgens mijn man en ik ontbreekt hier goede leiding en als dit zo doorgaat is er over een paar jaar niets van dit hotel meer over. Dat wij om ongeveer 22.00 naar onze kamer gingen zond er op de gang een bord met etensresten van een andere gast.De volgende ochtend om 10.00 stond het er nog.Hoe krijg je kakkerlakken? Dit zijn maar een paar voorbeelden want er zijn er nog meer te geven.

It's honestly not a good hotel. The only thing good about it is the view. The pool is pathetic and they overcharge you for whatever activity you decide to do.

Nice resort with good facilities. Live music at the open beach side cafe in the evening is an excellent way to relax while sipping a drink.

Pros: Location and costs
Cons: renovation of the hotel (rooms, pools, buildings). The World's resort is a Brand and the hotel doesn't reflect that.
Location: It's near to Cenang district that includes restaurants, cafes, Langkawi Aquarium, amazing beach and shopping mall.
It's a good hotel for average budget and mid long stay. it's old and need renovation but it's okay. the rooms are clean and have a nice view faced the sea and the small islands. Also the hotel is not far neither to the airport and Kuah city the capital of Langkawi. the pool is good and the Seagull restaurant too.

Pros: Sun rise view, sitting by the sea side with drinks in the evening and spread in the breakfast is good.
Cons: Bathrooms
We stayed in this hotel from 25th Jan to 28th Jan. Overall it was a good experience. Check in: Make sure you dont reach the hotel before 2 PM since they dont give the rooms before 3 PM. If rooms are available they may give by around 2 PM. Room: Take room with balcony. Other rooms are not having not so good view. Washroom: Wash room needs to be improved a lot. Bath tubs are broken. Food: Good spread for breakfast. For lunch and dinner food is expensive but has good options for non vegetarians. For vegetarians there are hardly any options. Evening and Morning: Dont miss the sun rise view. Its really good. In the evening just sitting by the sea side with drinks and listening to live music is really very good. Cost: Overall good value for money. Shuttle service: Use shuttle service to go to central city area.
