Anniversary trip to Vegas 2014

Posted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: All staff in the hotel and the casino were extremely pleasant and caring. Swimming pool was nice and clean, food was very good at restaurants within.
Cons: Sofas in every room we looked at are old and stained, carpets are old and some stained, the rooms need upgrading and wi-fi should be free.
Location: Location was ok, people sitting on wall between hotel and 7-11 prevented us from going to 7-11. Homeless bathed in drinking fountain by pool.
The first room we were given was so bad I had a list of 17 things wrong with it. It never should've been rented out. We got in late and all just went to bed. When we got up in the morning, I made my list and went to the lobby desk - which was all the way across the hotel, across to the casino, inside where it was very smoky, and we had to bring our son back and forth with us thru it. When we got to the front desk, the lady working it, her name is Sam (our oldest son's name), was extremely pleasant and very accommodating, letting us look at two other rooms before deciding which we wanted. The last one we saw had a much better setup (no sink right next to the master bed, no 1" of dust behind the tv), was much cleaner, and looked out on the fountain in the courtyard, which was very relaxing. We took that room, but were still disappointed that 1) no free wi-fi, 2) no desk, 3) no fridge or coffeemaker, and 4) a stained sofa. But what do you want for a bargain price? The meals in the casino were all very good. We ate a delicious breakfast at the Sourdough cafe - good prices for the amount you get! We celebrated our anniversary dinner at the Yukon Grille and were very pleased with the food and the service. We had Sunday Champagne brunch at the Wild West Buffet before leaving to come home, enjoyed the wide variety and again the excellent service. The shape of the rooms, the smoke smell in the casino, unfortunate homeless hanging around were the biggest drawbacks.

Staying off the Strip in Vegas

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: The location, the price and the staff.
Cons: It needs to be updated but then it would cost more money. Our stay was very pleasant.
Arizona Charlies is a good place to stay. We have stayed there several times. The rooms are clean and the staff is helpful. If you are looking for the "Jazz" of Vegas this is not your place. If you want to stay away from crowds & expensive hotels this is your place to stay. Venturing on the strip when you want rather than dealing with it all the time, then stay here

Worst experience ever. Unfortunately I can clearly express my visit towards this hotel. So all I'll say is TERRIBLE experience and wouldn't stay there again even if it was free.

Nice clean room this time!

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Location: Not a great neighborhood- keep all valuables out of your car!
Nice clean room this time. We did have a problem with our car. I think someone was messing with it and our alarm went off - then the security features went into effect and then I couldn't start my car. Asked the security to jump my car *DON'T LET THEM DO IT* he put the clamps on the wrong terminals and depolarized the battery and blew the fuse to the car. 3 hours to fix after being towed and I won't say how much money that guy cost me. At least the hotel room was clean!
