Close to Heathrown and the M25, Noisy RoomsPosted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: Clost to LHR
Could hear snoring and others talking through door that was between my room and the neighbour. Hard to rest with chatter and snoring.....

Close to HeathrowPosted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: Te conceriege was excellent. Location is very good - not on a major traffic route and it's across the street from a good quality "carvery" restaurant
Cons: The front desk is not well managed. Either short staffed or way too slow. But the slowness in part is due to archaic British business processes.
Location: Good restaurant. Nearby off license in a news shop. Not far off the motorway but as said elsewhere not oo near Heathrow. You do not hear aircraft
Chose the hotel because we had an early morning Heathrow departure and didn't want any confusion in that regard. As it turns out it is not that close to heathrow but apparently you can't get much closer. Very fine, modern hotel with all the services and a 5 star buffet breakfast which was included. If you are following in our footsteps note that the hotel shuttle does not go from Heathrow 1-2-3 but only from terminal five.

No different to a budget hotelPosted Sep 23, 2014
We arrived to find the car park full to the capacity. After four attempts circling the car parks we eventually found a tiny space. The family room given was on the ground floor with the view of the car park and accompanying engine noise. The room was dirty with crumbs of food all over the chairs and carpet. The bathroom was filthy, and much to my disgust the toilet roll holder was completely rusted. Nice touch, since the toilet roll touch that was intended for our bodies! The icing on the cake was the fact the hotel had cut the electricity for half an hour on Sunday morning. We were never notified of their planned works and ended up being caught out in the shower in pitch darkness. The staff were completely apathetic and did not attempt to rectify the situation. In the end they waived our dinner bill of £30 for the catalogue of inconveniences! I've stayed in several Marriotts across the world and have never experienced such poor standards and shoddy customer service. They don't value their customers at all. Needless to say, we won't be staying at a Marriott hotel again.

Good for Windsor and Legoland.Posted Sep 7, 2014
Stayed for two nights. Room size and comfort was good. Despite being busy, the hotel seemed calm at all times and soundproofing was excellent. Chose not to eat there as the price of meals was high. Similarly, chose not to include breakfast when I booked the room as it didn't seem good value (there's a perfectly serviceable place across the road that has cottoned on and does breakfast for about a fiver. Suggest you go there instead).

Noisy in the morningPosted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Good location and staff polite.
Cons: Connecting doors should lock and close better. Parking cheaper please.
Location: Stayed to go to Legoland which was 10mins away.
Luckily we were getting up early (7am) anyway but at 6am the connecting door to the next room started banging. I can only presume it was because they where packing their case as the bag support on our side was against the door. Our door also banged if pushed. Then at 6.34am housekeeping started vacuuming the room! Crazy. The second time I've had a noisy awakening at a Marriott. Thought parking at £9 was excessive and I'm still waiting for £41 to come back into my account after £50 was taken by them (less the parking). The kids loved the swim and would stay again for the pool if with the kids but not for any other reason.

Great value stay in well know hotel with fabulous staff who were friendly and caring and went the extra mile to help our sick daughter. Unfortunately didn't manage to use pool because of this but would definitely recommend.
