NH Harrington Hall

We called to let them know we would be arriving late because of aircraft problems, and they said no problem-they had our reservation. When we arrived, our pre-paid expedia reservation was nowhere in their system, and they did not have the room we reserved. The next day they moved us from 2 separate rooms to a family room, but it was a horrible check-in experience.

Excellent location! Metro station is 1 minute walk. Close to Harrods, Hyde park, Museum of Natural History is in 7 minute walking distance. Dislikes: The hair dryer and heating in the room didn't work properly, but they fixed them right away we asked. Also, you can hear people in next room. The staff is very nice and helpful! Overall, it is a very good hotel!

Recognizing that some features are hard to change in old buildings, there are some things that could be relatively easily upgraded. as noted below. Our three adults and four college girls spent a rain-free week with the NHH as a very conveniently located base for touring the sights of London via Tube from the nearby Gloucester Rd station, and dining in several of the nearby excellent restaurants. The hotel staff was uniformly pleasant and helpful and happily stored our luggage for the day when we arrived six hours before check in time. The rooms were spacious and clean and the linens ample.What could have easily been made more "user friendly" was as follows: The electric outlets Are not in tune with the 21st Century As a minimum the single outlet under the desk should feed a multiple outlet on the desk to facilitate chargers etc The hotel should be able to keep indicator light bulbs operable for the floor numbers and up and down numbers on and in the lifts The free internet is to be expected these days but it should be much easier to link the access to room numbers such that a new username and password would not be required every day of a multiday stay. Free wifi is not a replacement for a functioning business center. It should not take several days to repair.Too often the heat was uncontrollable - twice the temp rose to 85F with controls on "

Nice hotel with accommodating staff. We had a king room, which was good sized for Europe. Very close to Gloucester Road Tube Station. If you are carrying luggage from Gloucester Road Tube station, you will have to walk up a couple flights of stairs (approximately 20-25 stairs in all). Walk from Earl's Court Tube Station is longer, but no stairs to climb. Convenient location in a nice neighborhood.

The hotel was really a nice surprise. I never ate at the hotel because I heard it was expensive and it was. They did have buy one get one free at the bar so I did take advantage of that. I will say that my room window was in between the bldg where you see other rooms. It was also a school yard directly below, and the kids can get very loud, so if you're not up already they will wake you up. The wifi was good but do not plan to do video streaming as it is not strong enough for that which is sad. Otherwise it worked for me and I'm very picky. I'd stay again.

Close to tube. Many places to eat round hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room amazing. Free internet throughout hotel. Stayed in the family suite. Beds comfortable. Kettle in room for tea or coffee in the morning.

Pleasant stay in this centrally located hotel near everything. Staff was pleasant and free wife a bonus. Restaurant and breakfast a bit too expensive but lots of reasonably priced places to eat nearby. Will definitely stay there again

The hotel was very clean, rooms fine but if it was raining you would not want to stay in room all day, Spartan amount of furniture . The hotel is beside Gloucester rd tube stn , 10 min walk to museums, 20 min walk to Harrods, 10 min in tube to Westminster bridge, also Big Bus open deck bus stop outside Gloucester rd stn.
