Hotel muy confortable

Pros: La tranquilidad y hospitalidad
Estuve solo dos días y una noche, el personal siempre estuvo a disposición. La zona si bien esta cerca del centro es muy tranquila.

Quiet for march

Stayed in march, very quiet in town. Not much open. The whole inn covered in snow. But still had a good time.

Great location, large room in Southampton

Posted Jan 14, 2015 on Hotels.com
Great location in Southampton. Walkable to the downtown area. Rooms were large and very clean. Updated and new yet simple bathroom. The bed was unusual. It has a gel mattress topper, and when you initially sit or lay on it it feels hard as a rock until your body sinks into it. I found it took a while to get comfortable on it.

Bad experience. Will never go back.

Booked a king room with couch but couch was missing. Complained and was told they would bring couch in morning. We asked for a reduction in rate and was told "too late since we already paid", but they gave us a free breakfast. The next morning when we tried to have a couch brought up to the room they said they couldn't and instead moved us to another room. I am disabled and all of this moving was very difficult for me. I had asked about stairs when booking and was told "just a few". There were in fact 14 steps. The view I had requested turned out to be a building wall. Finally I was told no discount for AAA, AARP or senior and yet after I settled knowing my bill and checked out I saw a big AAA plaque. When I inquired about it I was told "too late " and nothing could be done and I was handed a 10% coupon off a future stay. I do not plan to return so that gesture was meaningless. I plan to complain to AAA as well as the better business bureau since this was an example of false advertising. The staff was borderline rude and not at all what I would expect from people running a business. At the prices they ask and the location, I would have expected a much classier operation.

Extremely expensive hotel with obnoxious staff

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: The mattress was the only good thing about this hotel.
Cons: Prices should be lowered. Staff should go on customer service courses.
Location: Location ok, nearby main street where we needed to be.
We arrived after 7pm, after informing the hotel of the late check in. When we arrived they gave us the worst room in the hotel. Back of the hotel, in the corner, right next to the aircon generator (very loud) and very very dark. I asked to be changed, they refused as the hotel was full. The front desk was rude and unfriendly in trying to resolve the situation. Furthermore, the hotel is old, and ridiculously expensive. I could not believe how much each night was $452 inc taxes. Granted I knew this from the beginning, but I thought we would be getting a very cute, traditional hotel, as I had never been to Southampton before. This hotel is rated 2 star at best, and I am shocked at the prices. Should not be more than $150 a night, based on conventional hotel standards. I will most definitely not be staying here again, and I will be returning to Southampton atleast 3 times a year. The hotel needs to seriously rethink their strategy, marketing and prices.

Alot of money for alittle service

Pros: location
My husband and I didn't care for the Southampton Inn. The only positive was the location close to town. Negatives, high noise level from room to room, old lumpy pillows and bed, no coffee or coffee makers in lobby or room, and we were there for 3 nights and were allowed one bottled water each for the 3 nights. If we wanted more we would have to pay for it. For what the room rate is they can't afford to give me a bottle of water a day! And I no this is petty, but, when I went to check-out, I had to walk through the cigarette smoke from the hotel receptionist standing at the front door having here cigarette. Go out back to smoke...not at the front door!
