The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. They made sure parking was available during one of the biggest events of the year (Kentucky Derby) was going on and they brought us cold bottled water when we came in from the heat. we are definitely staying again next year!

Pros: Breakfast was okay
Cons: It needs to be flat screen T.V."s in all rooms, a swimming pool, and the colors inside of hte room are all gloomy and needs to be a grill for waffles

I called to ask for extra pillows and blankets. I was told only one blanket can be given. The bathroom had cigarrette marks all over. The sink in the room had soap stuck the the wash clothes. I also had to ask for a T.V remote since the room did not have one in it. I just can not believe that it not prepared for me or my kids to stay plus it did not have a swimming pool. I just will not stay at that Hotel again unless is upgraded to have all the proper accomodations like the rest of the Super 8 Hotels.

Pros: Decent for the price. Nearby a couple of restaurants and a short drive to downtown Louisville.
Cons: The management needs serious structural/operational improvement.
Overall, our stay was just fine. We had a little trouble checking in, though. Not only were we given the wrong type of room, we were assigned a room that people already were in! We realized this when we opened the door to clothes and suitcases everywhere. Fortunately, they were able to make something work, though we were very close to losing a room altogether as they were already overbooked. The management was very apologetic and embarrassed about the situation, although they mentioned this was the second time it happened that day. Slightly disconcerting knowing random guests are given keys to your room. Their whole system seemed to be out of control and it appeared that no one had a handle on the situation. They were very nice, but could use some improvement in the operational sense. The room was spacious, bed was decent, and there was even a fridge and microwave. Close to a few restaurants and a short drive to downtown Louisville. Certainly met our expectations room/location wise.

Pros: There was ample parking because there were only a handful of other guests.
Cons: I can't think of anything that didn't need improvement.
Location: Expo Center is across the street. Pick one of the many other hotels right across the street from the Expo Center.
One star is better than this hotel deserves. The room smelled, the carpet was disgusting with patches and gum stuck to it. The wi-fi barely worked, the towels were bad, curtains were ripped, bedspread had a burnt hole in it, the beds were like rocks, and the 2 puny, lumpy pillows looked like they had been around for at least a decade. The breakfast was inedible, and included rotten fruit. Our room wasn’t cleaned after us being gone all day, so I called the front desk & was told “This isn’t a 4 star hotel!” When I then asked for clean towels, and the clerk sent her YOUNG SON, who insisted that I pick up & bag our used towels. I asked for extra pillows/blankets, but was told they didn't have any. I think the employees are living there, as they were all at breakfast, and saw a few coming/going out of a room in non-work clothes like they were staying there as guests. The front desk clerks were always outside smoking every time we walked in/out. Also, a barking dog (!?!) was in the room below us. At checkout, I discovered that they tried to charge me despite that the room was booked thru Expedia. When I asked for a receipt, they said that they couldn't give me one. I actually felt unsafe there, and probably should have just forfeited the money & gone elsewhere. I like finding basic, no frills hotels, but this was NOT it. For a few dollars more, go to a decent motel that includes an edible breakfast and a clean room. What a nightmare.

Pros: staff was friendly
Cons: cleanliness, new beds that offer a minimum of support, a modern era TV
room was pretty dirty, bed had a strange odor and was way too soft.

Location: About 5-10 minutes from downtown, convention centers
We needed an inexpensive hotel for a weekend. We chose this Super 8 because of its low rate, free breakfast, close proximity to downtown where our conference was, and a SPA TUB. Spa tub was listed as an amenity. When we arrived, we learned there was no spa tub, but that some rooms did have jacuzzi tubs. So, we changed to the more expensive room for the jacuzzi tub. The hotel had signs of wear and tear, but was overall very comfortable. The room with a king-size bed and jacuzzi tub was really spacious. FYI the breakfast was a bit sparse, but adequate. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.
