Nice hotel close to Atocha train stationPosted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness and proximity to train station
Cons: Stron smell in corridors
I stayed here for one night while in Madrid with friends and it was a nice and clean room with a balcony. It was all we needed.

Very clean roomPosted Jun 3, 2014
We arrived a little early so our room was not ready, the hotel offered to keep our bags and then suggested some things to go do. Their suggestions were great and we killed a few hours. When we returned our room was ready, it was clean and comfortable. At the front desk's suggestion we prepurchased the breakfast for the next day (which saves you around 5eu each). The breakfast was very good, fresh and hot.

5 minutes to Atocha railway station.Posted May 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
Convenience to Atocha Stattion to take train to Toledo, easy access to Chamartin rail station to Segovia and Avila. Walking distance to tourist spots. About 20 minutes walk if you want to walk. I think I had a good pick this time. Room price is reasonable.

Nice enough but fairly averagePosted May 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
Stayed in this hotel as our regular hotel was fully booked and the staff were lovely and the hotel in a good location but it was fairly basic and the bathrooms has a very powerful smell. The beds were comfy and overall was clean but just very basic.

Acceptable hotel in good location near Atocha.Posted May 25, 2014
Cons: For the price, the rooms are good. Staff attitude is the biggest opportunity.
Location: Walking distance to Retiro Park, the Museum district and Atocha Rail Station.
I have stayed in this hotel several times for its location near Atocha and the Retiro Park. I have also stayed in several of their sister hotels in Spain. The front desk and restaurant service in these hotels is unacceptable. The front desk staff tend to be rude and unhelpful. The restaurant staff are inattentive. There is clearly a management problem.

Good Central Madrid HotelPosted May 7, 2014
Pros: The cleanliness and helpful staff were to be commended.
Location: Walking distance from the underground station Atocha Renfe, Retiro Park, The Prado and other museums and galleries.
Stayed for a long weekend while attending the Madrid Open tennis. The hotel was fine and made a good base to explore the city. The room was large enough, well kitted out and spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly, helpful and spoke decent English. The buffet breakfasts were also good value (not included in our room rate) and had lots of choice. It's not the most enticing of locations on first sight on a fairly quiet quiet street of mixed residential apartments and local business. This is not a hotel near the old centre of Madrid, surrounded by bars and cafes. But the tube station is just a few minutes walk away (the underground system works well and is easy to get around) and four stops will take you into the centre of things. The hotel is situated in walking distance to Retiro Park (5min), the Prado (10-15min) and other major galleries and museums.

Hotel in MadridPosted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: Very polite and friendly door staff and room maids.1 helpful reception desk gent. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds, great location, good décor
Cons: Sound insulation between floors and adjacent rooms. The TV entertainment channels. Reception desk training.
Location: Madrid has a lot to offer and is well served by bus, metro and rail. The Prado museum and lots of shopping for the ladies, a great place to holiday.
The 4 star hotel looked good when we walked in the door but at the reception the man behind the desk just could not even raise the faintest of smiles to greet us. He looked at our passports, handed us the room key, and said "116 first floor". Not a word about did you need a hand with your luggage or have a pleasant stay etc. We walked away feeling a bit confused as to weather or not this was actually a hotel. At our room door our faith was restored quite a bit when a room maid gave us a great big smile and welcomed us to the hotel, she made our day. The room was fantastic, big, spotlessly clean, three baloneys (yes 3), nice TV , large modern bathroom, comfortable and well made beds. Now with most of the guests being foreigners and the link language being English you would think that a few TV entertainment channels would be in English right? errr wrong, there were about 30 Spanish but not one English entertainment channel.
