7 night Hol.

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: The corridors are carpeted and this keeps any noise down. This is one of the few hotels I have stayed in without being disturbed at night.
Cons: A little redecoration of the public areas wouldn't go amiss.
Location: Calla Major on first impressions seems rundown. However after a few days you begin to like it the way it is, because it's not rowdy.
The hotel is very good. The food is of a very good standard and is varied. The pool area is reasonable, a little on the small side. As always getting a sunbed is difficult due to people reserving them with their towels. There is a nice tree shaded area near the pool where you can sit and have breakfast or a drink. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is about 50 metres from the beach. You can hear the waves from the sea when your on the balcony's.

Hotel very close to good beach

Posted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: The food was delicious. Excellent breakfast with something for everyone. We also ate in the hotel a couple of times in the evening. Good value buffet
Location: We got on local buses and travelled around quite cheaply. We also explored the rest of Mallorca by buses from the main bus station in Place de Espanya
3 sister hotels on a nice beach. However the surrounding area, shops, restaurants were a bit grim. We were happy in the hotel, beach, pool etc but we got on local buses into Palma and other resorts to go shopping and eat etc. Our room was over the hotel reception and it was a little noisy at times.

From Bad to really very Good!!

I booked a Stnrd rm and emailed to request a Dble bed. Hotel emailed back that Stnrd rms do not have Dble beds, only Twn beds pushed together. Was told only Seaview rooms have Dble beds and can have for extra 16.50 euros per night. I replied, Yes thank you plse book and I will pay the extra fee. They confirmed back booked and confirmed (in Jan 14). Luckily I printed email, as on arrival (Apr 14), I found not ALL Seaview rms have Dble beds, only SOME, and despite telling me I had one, in fact they have used all the Dble bed rms and I don't have one. Receptionist called manager. They agreed not to charge the extra 16.50 per night for the Seaview, although we still only had twin beds. This was a compromise. On checkout, I was ill and we had a very late flight, so I requested a late checkout which is usually 36 euros until 6pm. Due to my checkin issues, they very kindly waived this fee and let us checkout at our leisure free of charge. I would highly recommend Luabay Costa Palma. They completely turned it around and made it a very pleasant stay. Great location and service. There are 3 Luabay Hotels all next to each other, which was confusing, but then once you know which hotel you are in, you can share the facilities across all 3 hotels including swimming pools, restaurants etc. I thought this was wonderful! Just FYI the beach beds are 16 euros per day, but sunbeds at hotels are free. The rooms have hair dryers, a shaver, tissues, shampoo, body wash and body moisturiser.

Great hotel close to the beach

Posted May 7, 2014
Pros: Location near the beach
Location: We went for a short relaxing do nothing stay, so did not check out what was available. The hotel had a spa, gym, evening entertainment, pools, etc
Great hotel very close to the beach, lovely sandy bay, staff all very helpful. Paid extra for treatments in the Spa- worth the money. I would recommend that you get your food cooked at the buffet so that it is always hot.

Nice Hotel, lovely bay.

Posted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: Location, Staff, Room although quite small it was comfortable and had a lovely sea view, Breakfast by the pool.
Cons: Evening meals. Choice was really limited. Unable to construct a complete meal from the buffet. Sub Standard. Tea & Coffee making facilities in room.
Location: Fab Location, 3 hotels in the group whose facilities are available to all clients. Lots of bars and cafe's nearby. Suitable for beach or city lovers.
This was my first time in Majorca. I am someone who likes culture and wanted to be close to Palma so I could absorb some of the street culture this wonderful city has to offer. I made a conscious decision to stay outside of the city but be close enough to walk in or use public transport. The location of this hotel fit the bill perfectly. It is a pleasant walk to the centre of Palma from here. I don't mind a long walk so may not suit everyone. about 20-30 minutes. A bus stop is situated close to the Hotel and the number 3 bus takes you into the city. This runs every 10 minutes and costs € 1.50 or € 10 for a card containing 10 single trips. Location of the hotel was perfect. The beach is beautiful. The hotel is very nice indeed. Would recommend it.

Beachside hotel close to Palma city

Posted Oct 24, 2013
Pros: Quiet lovely sea view from balcony fabulous breakfast helpful friendly staff short bus ride to centre of Palma we caught the number 3 cost 3 euros .
Cons: Update bathrooms provide information package
Location: Small beach limited range of resteraunts and shops night time entertainment provided at sister hotel Marivent. WE used this location as a good value
There are three Luabay hotels all next to each other so confusion on arriving as bus drops off on the main street. We had an early flight so arrived before 3pm check in we were able to leave luggage safely and had lunch at Porto Pi shopping centre an easy walk away. Room overlooking pool and sea clean and modern. Bathroom had not been included in modernisation and was very dated but everything worked and was clean. I would not rate this as 4****based on previous experience main niggle no information pack regarding facilities we had to ask about everything. comfortable bed flat screen tv which we never used small fridge water provided each day we were happy with our stay.

Cons: Not a huge area around the pool
Location: It is a short taxi or bus ride into Palma
Great Value for money but we were at the very end of the season
