Staff are very friendly, but our room was absolutely filthy, there was cobwebs hanging like decorations, holes in the ceiling, patched up with black gaffer tape, the smell from flushing the toilet or turning the taps on was disgusting, the noise from outside was awful as it’s only a single glazed window, dirty marks on the walls, the room had so much dust in it, that when waking up my phone was covered in dust, so I hate to think how much dust I breathed in!
This morning going for breakfast, it was like being in an exam with complete silence, tea & coffee was a hot water jug with a sachet, bearing in mind the bar was just across the room, but obviously no proper facilities, the breakfast was awful, the toast was a like a hard piece of cardboard, the toilets in the restaurant didn’t have proper locking doors.
This place really needs an update and quickly if it wants to continue business, the only good side to this hotel is Sherwood Forest is literally a 7 minute walk from it, and you can get a decent coffee in the forest!
