Second stay at this location!

Pros: I like the beach access for diving. They also have a scuba company on site to schedule dives with them.
Cons: The policy about changing rooms. And be more accommodating with scuba gear.
Location: Maui is amazing!! Scuba, paddle boarding, any water activity is amazing.
My husband and I stayed here for the second time. Our first stay was in Septemeber of 2014. Our second was just this last week. We dive while we are there at the KBC. We checked in around 9 pm on Friday. The front desk told me that they only had a room with two double beds. I asked when a king size bed would be available it wouldn't be till Sunday (which was 2 days away) The policy for the room change would be my husband and I would have to pack all of our stuff by 10 am on Sunday and then be out of the room by then and wait till 4pm. They suggested we do some activities while we waited. My husband and I decide it was too much of a hassle so we stayed in the double beds. We rent scuba tanks while we are there and we asked the front desk if they had a cart of some type to take the tanks upstairs to our room. They did not have anything to accommodate us. Also when we stayed in 9/14 they cleaned our room daily and gave us more towels etc.... This stay they only came once in a 7 night stay and I had to call on the second day for more towels.

Nice hotel but would of been nice to have a kettle & stove or hot plate. Didn't quite get the full sea view we paid for as there was a large crane outside - didn't complain however as we were out most of the time & did have family next door- room was very nice & cleaners did a good job tidying up every couple of days- it was unbelievably windy but kids still managed to enjoy pool

Maui 2015 Trip

It was lovely and our 5th year at the resort although we are not owners. Why we come back is the courtesy and friendliness of the staff. Theresa, Reye, Lady Ann, Tony, Freddy, Wayne the pool slide guy, Rickee, etc. all are familiar faces every year and we love that. They remember us and make us feel like family/so welcomed!! We definitely do not come for the luxury though. Despite being in a renovated room on the 12th floor this year, the kitchen is disgusting. No renos there. New refrigerators or at least cleaned better around... the sink etc. The food at the restaurant is the same every year so a menu change and better quality would be so wonderful! Oh and get rid of corporate Starbucks coffee, especially at $4/cup of black coffee. When in Maui, Hawaiian coffee would be appreciated. We headed across the street.

Great pool area and our kids enjoyed the kids club. The timeshare aspect was a negative and no mini golf due to renos.

Beware Time Share Trap

Pros: Not enoughto ever go back
Cons: stop the high pressure time share sales pitches for guests who just rented for vacation. clean it up and make some imporvements.
Location: Location is fine.
This hotel is centered on selling you Diamond Resort Time Shares. You will be constantly bothered to attend sales talks giving you cupons that are very hard toredeem. If yu delcine to sign up for time share sales pitch session you will likely be moved to thier hotel next door which is much less expensive and they will ot refund you the difference in rates unless you complain loudly. Compared to other simialt priced hotels in that area the overall condition is very disappointing.

Nice hotel, small beach

Pros: Nice location on Kaanapali
Cons: Facilities could be upgraded/modernized. Seemed a bit "cheap" when compared to some of the other hotels in the area
Location: Short drive from Lahaina and the marina.
First time at this hotel. Have previously stayed at the Sheraton Blackrock. Wanted a condominium-type setting to save money on food but our room didn't have a stove or oven -- only a microwave with with to cook. There were barbeques available, however, which was nice.

Good value and centrally located to everything on the west side. Grocery store right across the street. Staff was great !
