MeridaPosted Apr 29, 2015
Nice place, good personnel, the old part of the hotel rooms are too old. AC does not work, no fan, noisy. Food is middle of the road.

Wonderful stay.Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Beautiful building, quiet even in the center of the city. Staff very helpful.
Cons: Restaurant food and mattresses not up to par.
Location: Very close to the main square, street festivals, museums shops and restaurants.
The hotel is beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful, even though we don't speak the language yet and we arrived at 5 am. The room was very clean and quiet, the only negative is very hard beds and pillows. The restaurant food was not very good when we got breakfast. We did not eat there again. The location is excellent, in Centro. Easy walk to many attractions.

Excellent service and great locationPosted Jan 4, 2015
Pros: Great location. Wonderful staff.
Cons: The mattress was a little uncomfortable. They should definitely look into buying new mattresses for the rooms.
Location: The hotel is two blocks from the Plaza Grande which is the cultural heart of the city. There are several sights that are within walking distance.
The hotel is in a great location just two blocks from the Plaza Grande and within walking distance of many restaurants and sights. The hotel staff was super friendly and very helpful. They helped us book tours, answered all our questions about the city and greeted us with a smile every time we saw them. The hotel itself was extremely charming. It doesn't look like much from the street (in fact you could walk right by it), but once instead it has a beautiful courtyard before you reach the lobby and a charming pool. The rooms are decent sized and comfortable. Nothing fancy but they were just fine for us and we spent 6 nights there!

Amazing place to stay!Posted Dec 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed at 6 different hotels during out trip through Mexico and La Mision De Frat Diego was probably the best hotel of them all. We had very low expectations when driving through Merida as the neighbourhood looks pretty rough, however as soon as you step into the hotel doors its hard to believe you're in the same place. The staff were more than helpful and extremely friendly every time we were in contact with them. The room was amazing and very authentic for a Mexican style room. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in Merida.

Amazing location and lookPosted Nov 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
Perfect place to stay in terms of location and decor. Staff are friendly but not the most efficient (i.e. have no record on the desk of online bookings and look them up "later").

Cute boutique hotel close to Grand Plaza.Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: Cute courtyard, pool and restaurant and great, central location. 3 blocks to the main square and about 6 blocks to the giant City Market.
Cons: Room had AC and was comfortable, but AC was very noisy and switched on with a loud click (all night). No ceiling fan. Mattress was on the hard side.
Location: Fantastic location. All the fun is to the south---main square and market---within 6 blocks. Great food everywhere, from economical to almost free.
Two of us stayed 8 nights and so got to know the hotel and the area. The desk and restaurant staff were excellent. They provided first rate service and knew most of the answers when it came to regional tours, although they didn't know details and only had access to the standard tours. This was fine with us, as it was our first trip. Next time we will stay in a smaller town, closer to ruins and cenotes, and cut down the trip time for day trips (about 3-4 hours per day in transit). Staff spoke good English and were responsive to our needs, although our needs were few. We walked to the north several times and the sidewalks were too narrow and the traffic was miserable--noisy and smelly. After a few days we only went south where there were pedestrian walks only and less bus traffic, to the square and the market.

Muy cumplidorPosted Sep 17, 2014
Pros: La ubicacion.
Cons: Interiores de las habitaciones
Location: Cenote Zaci, excelente lugar.
