“A very reasonably priced hotel.”

We were looking for a clean, comfortable, reasonably priced room close to Hoosier Park and that's exactly what we got. It was clean, comfortable and the staff was very friendly. We would not hesitate to stay again.

“I'll be back.”

Staff very helpful good knowledge of surrounding area called casino for shuttle told us good places to eat. Rooms were basic and clean, bed worked just fine. I'd stay there again.

“ok for one night-you get what you pay for”

We knew not to expect the best based upon the other reviews of this hotel. The staff was very friendly and you could tell they were trying. We were with a group that had a sports event early in the morning and they had coffee available at 4am while their continental breakfast normally starts at 6am. The bed was clean, but the room overall was not. The shower curtain was moldy and the cleaning staff needs to do a better job. The hotel does have a smell of stale smoke. You can tell they allowed smoking in the building for many years. They need to do a complete remodel of the building.

“A bit long in the tooth!”

This facility needs a complete gut and remodel. My room was equipped with a sink that had a hole in it. There was no WiFi "at that end of the building." The HVAC unit controls were broken and did not function. Commode was loose and rocked when sat upon. Shower was more like a drizzle. Very spartan. They were lowest price available. Now I know why.

“One word: Nasty.”

I was down in Anderson, Indiana for a graduation at a local university. This hotel is a Dump with a capital "D". The carpet was dirty, with burn marks, and was threadbare in places. The paint was peeling off the walls, there was damaged drywall, and a TV that barely functioned. There were crumbs on the bed. The bathtub was filthy, with dirt and grime engrained into the tub, probably the only way to clean it would be to soak the tub in pure bleach. The shower was OK though. There was no kleenex in my room, and my so-called "non-smoking room" reeked of cigarette smoke. The woman at the front desk was a bit rude, was barely present at her station and she insisted that I booked a smoking room when I did not, and because of the graduation, there were no other rooms available, and every other place was booked solid so I was stuck. The rooms were tiny. The so-called breakfast area looked and smelled like a stale, putrid trash can. Now, it looked like the owners were trying to do some remodeling, but with these older hotels that have been smoked in for years, the only thing you can really do is completely gut them and start over, and if you're doing that, you might as well just knock the whole thing down and rebuilt it. Thankfully, I was there for only one night, a second was out of the question. Over the years, travelers' tastes have changed in what they expect out of a hotel, and this place fails to meet that in just about every category. I'm know I'm harsh, but it is what it is.

I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. THE PLACE WAS AWFUL ONE OF THE WORSE PLACES I'VE STAYED
