great location! pretty decor!

this is a great hotel option in midtown... good nearby restaurants, a knows feeble concierge, and good access to trains and taxis. funky Art Deco style design, small but very adequate rooms, clean and quiet on the third floor.

Close to Central Park

Posted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: Location, staff
Cons: Prefer to not have to pay for the coffee using a coffee maker in my room...especially when I could walk to the corner to Starbucks and get it for less
Location: Perfect for Lincoln Center, Central Park, walking distance to many places.
I would recommend to a friend but with disclaimers. Our room was apparently located next to the supply closet for the cleaning staff. All throughout the day and night we had banging and noise coming from next door (supply closet). Also, they were apparently getting new chairs for the rooms and had them lined up down the hallway right outside the door. Our a/c seemed to have been "frozen up". It was set on 60 when we go to the room but it was rather warm in our room the entire time. Being from Houston we are used to the heat and the upper 80's and low 90's while we were there was fine, but when I sleep I prefer it to be comfortable temperature, which it was not. Other than those two things, the bed was comfortable, the staff was nice, the room was clean. Just seemed our room's location was not ideal.

It is a beautiful hotel. Staff were friendly. Great bar! However rooms were so tiny could barely fit our luggage in.

Great Location but Little for the Money

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: The roof top terraces and the roof top night club. The Front Office Manager really did go beyond to accommodate my requests. The location.
Cons: Outdated facilities, I couldn't use the shower head so I had to use the ceiling fixture, the rooms are too small, everything is cramped.
Location: Amazing; central park, Lincoln center 5th avenue you name it
Do stay here if you have not too high expectations on updated facilities, space and quality, if you need a location in walking distance to main attractions and public transportation, and if you seek a place with it's own perks like the roof top terrace and roof top night club. Do NOT say here if you need any of the opposite from above such as spacious rooms, modern facilities, high standard service or wide F&B offer.

Great location but amenities not the greatest

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Hotel lobby and location were great. Room was very small and had some moldy spots on roof. It was quiet which was great but room was very dark as It was facing a building. It was an ok place to crash each night after a busy day in the city. Pool was comically small.
