Convenient for Lincoln Centre and Central Park.Posted Jun 26, 2015
Excellent location. Beautiful interior foyer and lounge area. Room small. Would have appreciated a wee grab rail in the shower for balance. A few Internet connection issues but otherwise OK. Staff helpful.

Stay in new York cityPosted Jun 24, 2015
Pros: Liked the location, Lincoln square was a really nice area to be in, loved the shower which was needed lots as it was so warm
Cons: Customer care, standard queen rooms were looking out onto to brick wall and hotel fans so we upgraded to king at a cost of $35 a night,
Location: Everything on your doorstep, do the bus tour when you arrive to get your bearings, we used bus, cabs and subway, easy to get around
Hotel was in a good location, lots of city noise and traffic noise all night, so if you don't mind that you'll be fine, doormen really helpful, a lot more so than the reception staff, not a long walk to times square and central park is right there beside you

Ideal locationPosted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Location just across the street from the Lincoln Center
Cons: Most of the rooms are very small and have no direct light except for a window on a narrow internal courtyard
Convenient for a one night stay, but the rooms are rather depressing because of their size and the lack of light.

Good location, average roomsPosted Jun 22, 2015
Hotel has a nice veneer but it's very noticeably tired and dated underneath. Room service stops at 10pm??? Did I just go back in time with Marty and the Doc??? As far as NYC hotels go though, it's completely ok for a short trip and the bar downstairs is awesome. Would recommend to anyone who knows the NYC hotel scene.

Excellent hotelPosted Jun 21, 2015
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Empire. The rooms were finished to a high standard and always immaculately cleaned. Staff are very friendly and always willing to help with enquiries. Would definitely stay here again.

Good location & comfortable bedPosted Jun 18, 2015
The hotel had a good location very close to Central Park. Beds were very comfy, but bathroom was uncomfortably small. The adjoining restaurant served delicious breakfast sandwiches to-go. Hotel concierge & front desk staff were very nice. The hotel halls were dreary & smelled of stale cigarette smoke. When I went up to check out the rooftop patio, bar & pool I was disappointed. The bartender didn't even say hello. The pool is super tiny- about 7 feet wide & 15 feel long.

Convenient to Lincoln CenterPosted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: Proximity, decor and positive vibe.
Cons: Drinkable coffee at breakfast.
Really enjoyed the location of the Empire Hotel, across the street from Lincoln center with a wonderful restaurant, Ed's Chowder House only an elevator ride away. The Staff were very friendly and helpful, fast check-in, room as requested, even a view of Lincoln Center. We spent part of the afternoon at the roofdeck pool, enjoying a snack delivered promptly (and hot) from Ed's Chowder House. Jennifer was very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable. Her manager Gabriel even escorted us to the service elevator for an easier (safer) trip to our room. The Hotel advertised the continental pool breakfast, so we headed there in the morning. Huge disappointment. The coffee was lukewarm dishwater. Jennifer was upset after tasting it herself and she and her helper made futile attempts to "doctor" it. I asked if we could order coffee from downstairs (We WERE in NYC), she said no and they kept tinkering and apologizing. When I asked for an adjustment on the bill, she took off $10., but it still cost us $20.00 for a poor croissant.
