Great Midtown OptionPosted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: view, room amenities
Location: buy a car, access Hells Kitchen dining spots...
Kimpton always does a great job and has top-notch facilities. I would recommend this as an awesome Midtown option with a great view of the NYC skyline.

Great hotel for exploring the cityPosted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: Rooms, views and staff were great.
This hotel is fantastic. Within walking distance of Times Square, Rockefeller, grand central station and central park but set in the Hells Kitchen neighbourhood which boasts plenty of bars snd restaurants. The PRINT restaurant in the hotel was amazing and the Press Lounge bar certainly gives you a jaw dropping view of the city at night. Only slight drawback is the location on the west side of Manhattan which makes it a longer than desireable commute from JFK but certainly worth the wait. Front desk and door staff were helpful and courteous - we would definitely recommend!

The beds are not comfy, the smellofthebedwas awfulPosted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: The personnel was very helpful.
Cons: The beds needs to be change to most constable beds, at least for the more expensive rooms.
The view was not what appear on the photo while you are booking your room, they do not have a price list of the drinks and the snacks they have in the room mini bar, the bed was smelling bad like they did not change the bedding for a long period of time and to finalize the bed was constable at all.

Great view, Great staffPosted Nov 27, 2014
I stayed in a city view suite. Very comfortable the view was unbeatable. The whole staff here was so great, which is VERY uncommon in NYC. Will definitely be coming back.

Nice hotel facilities with a wonderful staff, but not wonderful area and unbearably loud at night. Could hear all the street traffic all night long and heat system kept waking me up as well.

Mixed BagPosted Nov 21, 2014
Pros: The hotel restaurant, Print, was excellent, we had dinner and breakfast there.
Location: Walking distance to the Intrepid aircraft carrier museum.
Valet parking and registration were both delayed since their computers were down. Took about 30-minutes to get a room and the staff did an excellent job at dealing with cranky customers. We had paid extra for the best room Expedia had for this hotel, about 480 square feet with a city view. The room was long and thin, about 12ft x 40ft, with a huge centrally located bathtub sitting there right out in the open. No privacy screen around the tub, just looked strange. It turned out that their TV system was also down and did not return while we were there. Also our room was on the 6th floor and did not have much of a city view but did have a lot of city traffic noise.
