Bad Atmosphere

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: Staff were apologetic and professional but management poor.
Cons: Eliminate the promoted pool party
Location: Very quiet part of town. Nothing in the area
Pool area had loud and drunk bar scene. Would not recommend. Refused to refund stay.

Great place for visiting Boston!

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Great location and plenty of parking (something that is rare in new England).
Cons: Counter space in bathroom.
Location: Boston Common, the Freedom Trail, Red Sox Game, Harvard, MIT.
This hotel is right next to a terminal for the green line of the T. From there we were able to get to Harvard, MIT, Boston Common, and Fenway Park. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Only complaint, very little counter space in the bathroom, made getting ready for the day tricky. But overall a very clean and comfortable place to stay.

Location excellent, staff friendly, rooms lacking

Posted Jun 27, 2015
Tiny bathrooom with shower only, minimal counter space. Only one ice machine in entire building! No fridge or microwave, or anything to heat hot water, in room. Won't return.

Dear Guest, I apologize that you did not enjoy your stay as we always hope for, for all our guests. Due to our boutique nature, our rooms do tend to be on the smaller side and I apologize for the discomfort it caused. Although rooms do not come with fridges or microwaves, they are always available by request through the front desk. There is also a communal microwave near the ice machines and our restaurant can always heat up things for you as well. And should you decide to give us another chance to provide a more positive stay, please note that the Kuerig machine in the room has the ability to heat water for guests even without a pod in the device. Again I apologize for your stay experience but greatly appreciate your feedback.

Loved this hotel!

Bed extremely comfortable. Room clean. Very cozy. Excellent breakfast. Love this hotel and this is the second Hotel Indigo we've stayed at and I loved that one, too.

good stay but ...

Posted Jun 21, 2015
The hotel is nice -- with a pool, restaurant, nice clean modern (but small) rooms. Unfortunately, the scanner on our hotel room broke so we couldn't get into our room. Once in (courtesy of a crow-bar), we weren't able to leave. Breakfast / checkout the following morning was a little awkward. These things happen. Complimentary breakfast.

Hotel located in residential area

Posted Jun 13, 2015
Not conveniently located to Boston and the sights. Had to use mass transit. Hotel restaurant and lounge is high priced and menu is minimal. The cleaning staff didn't restock after cleaning. We had to call down for toilet paper and Kleenex's.

Tiny Room; Stingy Hotel; Nice Pool; Next to Subway

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: The outdoor pool and patio were excellent. The pool was heated and was perfect. The prices at the poolside bar were outrageous, though.
Cons: The hotel provided a complimentary breakfast for ONE even though I had booked the room for four people plus an infant. How cheap.
Location: The hotel is within a short walk to the MBTA (subway), which is the reason I booked this hotel.
I stayed at the Indigo hotel for two days while attending a graduation. I booked the room for my family including me, my wife, my 13 year old child, my 12 year old child, and my infant son. The room was tiny! The two beds were only full size and not well suited for two. My oldest child preferred to simply sleep in a chair! There was no room to put a crib. It was difficult to move around the room without catching a foot or ankle on a sharp corner. The bathroom was tiny and the sink had no counter space at all-literally there was no vanity top just the sink bowl. The room contained one small wardrobe and nowhere near enough storage space for four people. Hardly worth the high price. I'm sure the hotel was gouging people coming in for the Harvard graduation.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. I am truly sorry to read that you did not enjoy your time with us. Being a boutique hotel, we are extremely limited in controlling the sizes of our rooms. However, I am pleased that you liked the pool and subway location. Again, I apologize that our hotel was not the right fit for your family but appreciate the time you took to share your comments with us. Have a wonderful Summer!

Not sure I got what I paid for

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: Pool area
Cons: size of rooms,
This hotel is conveniently located next to the Riverside Green Line Station (D line), and right off I-95, making it a good place to stay if you are taking trips in the greater Boston area. Unfortunately, the rooms are small, making it a tight squeeze around the bathroom and bed. Pool area is great, with a wonderful bar and cabanas, although anyone can use the facilities, meaning it can be busy at times. My brother brought his infant son over, and accessing the pool area with a stroller was difficult - either have to go through the bar, or carry the stroller up a short flight of stairs. Finally, on the day I left, front desk staff was not available at the time I was checking out (~6:30am). In short, nice location, cool features, but the basics of a good hotel are lacking at times.

Dear Danielle, Thank you for taking the time to detail the events of your stay. Being a boutique hotel, our rooms do tend to be on the smaller side, however, we are in the process of doing a refresh to make them more accommodating. I apologize for some of the hiccups you experienced during your time with us. I have brought your comments to the attention of my management team and are using them a training guide. Thank you for staying and have a wonderful Summer!

Nice hotel, Clean, Attentive Staff

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: The convenience, the pleasant staff and the nice rooms.
Cons: The only negative for me... I hated the floor in our room. Would have preferred carpet over the strange flooring. Reminded me of staying in a basement
Location: Great access to Boston with numerous options culturally, dining options, or to enjoy the quaint area of West Newton with a variety of great restaurant
The hotel was clean, comfortable with an attentive, pleasant staff. Check in and out were easily accomplished with the help of a very pleasant desk clerk. The bathroom with spacious shower was very nice with spa quality complimentary toiletries. The location was perfect for easy access to public transportation into Boston and for me very close to family that lives in the area. Pleasant setting. I plan to use it again on return to visit family.
