Aqua Bamboo Waikiki

The hotel was very clean but it is a little tired. The beds were comfortable and clean. The little kitchenette was useful. Unfortunately the age of the hotel is showing in the bathrooms. They could really do with a makeover . Also the airconditioning is old so consequently very noisy. The rooms could do with double glazing as you could hear the street noise. The pool surrounds and foyer were pleasing. Overall the experience was great as one didn't expect 5 star luxury. So I would say that it was value for money.

I stayed at the Aqua Bamboo for 4 nights. The hotel is centrally located and close to everything you want to see in Waikiki - the beach, shops, restaurants and bars are all within a few blocks. The staff were helpful and the room clean. The hotel decor is a bit dated and bathroom basic but I think reasonable for the room rate and location.

I arrived October 18, 2013 for a 9 day stay to celebrate my birthday. Had a kitchenette with balcony. Loved all the upgrades this hotel has done. Great location. Very close to public transit. Walking distance to beach, international market place and several other hot spots. Staff was VERY nice, informative and accomodating. Hotel was clean! Room was comfortable and tidy. Street noise was loud but for me not too bothersome and actually found it entertaining although front desk was more than willing to relocate me to a quiter room. I would DEFINETELY recommend and would stay at this hotel again. I got a great package price for my flight, lenght of stay and the specific type of room I wanted and a sweeter benefit about staying at this hotel for me is that they did not have any "additional" fees other than for parking. Weather was perfect! slightly breezy, only humid and hot on last day stay other days were very comfortable.

Set on Kuhio Ave that runs parallel to the busy and noisy traffic route along the beachfront of Waikiki this hotel has an oasis within its grounds where you can swim or just relax in complete privacy. Transport is right outside the front door with public busses and tour operators this is a major thoroughfare. Our room had partial views of the beach plus Diamond Head and the mountains as well, not grand views but still enjoyable, considering the price we paid for the room

Not too bad for the price, older hotel that has been renovated.

Only reason for not getting excellent on Room Comfort was that I was on the second floor and I could hear the buses that stop across the street and could hear the loud people walking on the street at 3am.

Hotel clean and tidy but way too noisy, do not stay in a room on the highway side, traffic all night long and air conditioning also very noisy.

We were new to the area .the staffs knowledge of local shops and eating establishment was very helpful .

Air conditioner was louder than the aircraft engines on the way up. When turned off the dripping of water from it onto the carpet was almost as irritating. Had to put a chair up against the door as the deadlock didn't work.
