Home base

Pros: The ease of getting everywhere and the grilling deck.
Cons: put the doors back on
This hotel was easy and quick walking distance to nearly everywhere we wanted to be. It was more quiet than staying right on Waikiki Beach. Wonderful that it had the kitchen and view from the lanai. It was a little grungy until mid week cleaning. Five of us were a bit crowded but it was workable. The bathroom was TINY and it would have helped for privacy if the hotel had not removed the doors between the bathroom area, kitchen and bedroom . The staff was great, helpful and pleasant. If you do stay please check out the small store in the hotel. We found out too late that prices here were often better for staples than what you could get even in the local grocery.

Nice place to stay

Posted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: Twice at banyan and both times they upgraded our room, so we were able to see the ocean from our balcony. No problems with lift. Full kitchen.
Cons: Comfort - beds, pillows, furniture. Everything is old-old. Understanding it is under re-modeling, I am not complaining, but it is the fact.
Location: Great location. Very close by to the beach and basically everything.
This is our second stay in this hotel. Understanding this hotel is under construction, we did not expect a lot, but have a place to sleep. Overall - good location, people, price.

Nice, roomy apartment close to Waikiki attractions

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: Size of the apartments and balcony. Mountain view from our room. Pool and spa facilities Proximity to Waikiki attractions
Our 10 night stay was extremely comfortable, we knew before arrival that the apartment block was a little older than some others but were pleased with the Mountain Room view that we were given (although we had to pay for the upgrade as they were doing work in the area that our original room had been booked). We liked the size of the rooms & they were cleaned immaculately on a daily basis. The hotel is walking distance to Waikiki bars, restaurants and shopping which we took full advantage of.

Needs Renovating !

Posted Feb 22, 2014
Cons: Each unit needs to be updated by the owners.
Two families booked 8 months prior to our stay for what we believed was a deluxe ocean view room . Upon arrival we were given an unrenovated room that feel short of our expectations. To the managers credit we were shown a number of room alternatives however each room was much the same . We were told that unlike a hotel these room are all owned by individuals who only update the room if they wish . We decided to leave the Banyan and seek accommodation elsewhere. After many costly phone calls expedia agreed to credit our payment to another place. The Banyan was also under going renovations at the time which involved not using the balcony and having water shut off during the day. This was not known to us at the time of booking . In hindsight it was not really worth the high fee to have a kitchen if we ever returned for a short visit 4 days or less we would just stay in a hotel room .

Waikiki Banyon Resort

Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: We always stay at the Banyon. Location is ideal for us, close to the beach but away from the main hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Great pool.
Location: one block to zoo and beach
We spent one night with the Aston Waikiki Resort. We always stay at the Banyon, in privately owned units. This is the first time we stayed in one of the hotel rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. We ended up with a fabulous view from the 35th floor. Room was fine, nothing special.

Excellent views from our kitchenette

Posted Feb 12, 2014
Pros: Roomy, views, closeness to beach and shopping.
Cons: Redo the rooms
Location: Great location, beach, shopping centre and shops just short walks away.
This hotel is dated, patched areas where water leaked, carpet wrinkled form years of use, stain spots on the carpet everywhere. The bed was the worst, the mattress had to be of the same vintage as the hotel itself, you could not move without feeling springs from the mattress-extremely uncomfortable. The view and closeness to the beach were two big pluses, and just a little interior upkeep would transform this into a very nice 1-2 week stay.

Pros: being on the 36th. floor and having two double beds.
Cons: can not think of anything
Location: walking distance to the beach, although the weather was not that great. So we rented a car and did touring on our own
we enjoyed our stay very much at your hotel, just would have been nice to have some shuttle service to some places..
