Inexpensive hotel, close to shops and beach.Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: Location and price.
Cons: The décor is quite dated, and the Wi-Fi is only accessibly from the lobby which is inconvenient.
Location: Location is great. 1km from the main shopping centres and bus terminals, Waikiki beach and restaurants.
This hotel was quite dated, however, for the price it's definitely worth it. The room was clean and had a lovely view of Waikiki city, there is a rooftop pool on Level 6 and a laundry which was helpful. The staff were friendly and informative about the local area and attractions. The hotel is located within walking distance (about 1km) from Waikiki beach, Ala Moana shopping centre, main bus terminals, and plenty of great restaurants. Overall, the stay was pleasant and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Good for a bargainPosted Jul 22, 2015
Stayed on the 17th floor. Staff was helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the short walk to Waikiki from the hotel. Great location for necessities. Not the fanciest, but was perfect for me, traveling alone with multiple activities during my stay.

Hotel needs a makeoverPosted Jul 21, 2015
Visiting family on this trip, when we got to the desk nobody was there. After checking in and got on the elevator which was hot, we made it to our very small room. The carpet was stained and discolored it was at one time a dark green but has since lightened to a lime green. The bathroom was small and the shower difficult to turn on. We rented a car for the stay and had to pay $25.00 a day. Don't think I will book at the Hawaiian Monanarch again!

TerriblePosted Jun 29, 2015
Cons: This hotel needs to clean it up , put new carpet in , patch walls that are falling apart
Location: Ala Moana shopping
The bed was like a rock, rug was old, stained and very dirty. When I asked about ice they said no ice machines and if I wanted some, I needed to go buy it at a local store. Very disappointed

24 Std. Bar/Restaurant im Hause.

Pass on this onePosted Jun 14, 2015
Pool was nice, not heated, but nice. Laundry facilities were also nice. No signs anywhere. Just had to wonder to find both pool and laundry. No signs saying which elevators to use. Condos on one side, hotel on the other. I'm guessing it was beautiful in its hey day but is just old and musky now. SUPER thin walls; you'll hear waaAayyyyyy more than you want. Receptionist was flat rude every time we talked with her. It's within easy walking distance to lots of things. Shower was ridiculously short and dirty. I wished I would have paid the extra $20 a night for a decent hotel. And they charge $25 a night to park a vehicle.....cash only. Pass this one by!!!!

1 day, 1 night stayPosted Jun 11, 2015
1. There is no (free WiFi) in the rooms. ONLY in the lobby. 2. The shower was hard to work. 3. The bed wasn't firm (there is a dip) as an old mattress would. 4. Hole in the curtain. 5. Hotel room wasn't cleaned well. Saw a few items left behind from previous guest.

Wer Budget bezahlt bekommt Budget!Posted Jun 11, 2015
Pros: Die Lage!

most helpful staff I ever came acrossPosted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: Staff, mainly front desk. ones I came across were most helpful.
Cons: room I stayed did not have windows I can open. it would have been nice. interiors were old but, it doesn't affect your stay.
Location: hotel is located like right beginning of Waikiki, you can access ala moana area or other shopping area near by theres bar down stairs too.
hotel is not really too far from beach. Room I stayed in was 1 room with 2 bed for price I paid it was nice and comfortable. what I liked about this hotel the most was staffs they were really nice and friendly, answered all my questions with very nice manner with smile. they were all friendly. I wouldn't necessarily every staff on the front desk are nice, but ones I came across were very professional. their service is probably reason if I were to visit Hawaii again I'd stay in this hotel again.

We chose to stay here because it's cheap and we planned to be outside most of the time. Just basic. Waikiki beach is some 20 minutes walk away. NO wi-fi in rooms, no free coffee or anything. Will hold your luggage after you have checked out for free.
