Extra basic

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: It was merely a trip down memory lane. We stayed here 30 years ago and it hasn't been updated or changed.
Cons: The bed desperately needs to be updated. It was not comfortable at all.
Location: Walk to Waikiki. Eat at egg n'things. Hop on a local bus.
O.k. To use as a budget base, not to spend time here

Good for relaxing

Posted Apr 14, 2014
This place was nice. Its ok if you just want to get away, to someplace inexpensive. The only thibg about the rooms was that its hard and the mini fridge was on the ground (could have at least put it on a table).

I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

I thought it was a very convenient stay for only one night. But it is NOT A PLACE TO STAY ANY LONGER than that. NOT MY CUP OF TEA AT ALL...

Custumer Service

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Front Office - Service - Help totally rude. No eye contact whatsoever when asked any questions. She should not be there she doesn't completely answer you the proper way completely rude & no manners. It would have been better if they have the maid in the front office to welcome you. There's no ALOHA welcome. Definitely would not come back.

4 walls and a bed

Posted Mar 19, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff and credit card washing machines
Cons: everything else
Location: laundry facilities, pharmacy, shopping on Kalakaua, and restuarants
That's all this place was, a bed and 4 walls. Motel 6 is better than this place. Stained greasy looking floors that haven't been vacuumed, yellow stained tub, squeaky stiff bed, windows that don't open, closed caption tv, no useable outlets, alternating hot/cold water, and obstructing furniture. That's just in the room alone. My first visit to the island and I was really disappointed in the outside alone. A rundown place with little to offer, for a few $$ more stay place better. They shutdown the water at 9am for repairs, I couldn't get an early check-in and that's after I had to call 4 different times.Wifi was a charge in the room, but not in the lobby. The lobby was 3 chairs in front of the desk that were always filled with residents. The hallways were permeated from the restaurant cooking below(some bad/good smells). No soap for purchase in the laundry area, I had to go to the pharmacy down the block, which conveniently had a Laundromat next door. The only plus was the Laundromat in the hotel had credit card washing/drying machines, so no need to get coins, but the Laundromat next to the pharmacy was cheaper 1.25/2.75 at the hotel.I could only find to 2 good outlets to use,1 behind the bed after moving it and the other in the bathroom. There hairdryer was a joke, I could blow harder than that thing. Sirens were a constant alarm clock. My next stay I will spend the extra $$ and stay at a better place. It worked, and the staff was friendly but just not worth it for the price.

Convenient location.

Posted Mar 15, 2014
Pros: Staff. Nothing else.
Cons: Building condition.
Location: Convenient. Close to the the downtown, restuarant and shopping districts.
Staff was professional. Hotel condition and environment needs to be improved. Not very attractive environment inside the hotel. Certainly not an environment you would want to stay in outside of sleeping at night.

Less than average hotel

Posted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: The view, was on 20th floor
Cons: Just about everything.
Location: Not really close to anything
Police called to hotel for disturbance, beds were not comfortable, no included wifi, had to rent modem for $8. Staff were almost non existent except for security, more security than hotel staff.

This hotel is not a five star place but it is comfortable and close to all the sites. I went to see my boyfriend in the army for three days and the hotel was perfect.

Nice hotel near the beach and shopping street

Posted Feb 10, 2014
Pros: clean room and enthusiasm hotel receptionist
Cons: The air condition is too old, it is batter to replace it with new and noiseless condition.
Location: no.
The only regret is that the hotel is not known well, because some bus driver do not know it.
