One of the worst SPG hotels.

Posted Apr 3, 2015
Pros: Staff was nice.
This place was not at all in line with typical expectations of a Four Points, which I think of as clean, relatively new, no frills business travel hotels. This place was old, decrepit... the carpet was gross and the circulation system was ridiculously loud.

They can't fix "your" problem.

Posted Apr 2, 2015
Pros: I liked the pool, all the open seating in the lobby and the patio and the easy parking.
Cons: The two girls at the front desk should be replaced with positive, professional looking employees who care about their company's image.
Location: The location is great. Easy access from freeway and lots of entertainment spots around.
Upon arrival I was told that "I" requested a king bed for 3 people. (Why would I do that?) They bad mouthed Expedia and told us we shouldn't use them again. They were sold out of other rooms and that was the room we had to have. Our third person had to sleep on the floor. Carpet in room and halls was old, worn and wrinkling all over. Ice machine on second floor needed repair. Towels at pool were large hand towels. We were told that shuttle ran until 11pm. We called to be picked up at 10:30 and they said it was too late.

very disappointing!

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: pool only
Cons: everything
Location: Across from ASU
Facilities were dated and dirty. Shuttle was unreliable! Breakfast was awlful. The pool was the only nice thing, and it was cold. I would never stay there again!

Noisy and Dirty and Overpriced

Posted Mar 21, 2015
We stayed at this hotel on March 19,2015 and it was a terrible experience. The cost was $240 US ($330 CDN) and it was definitely over priced. The hallways and room carpet and furniture were filthy. Also, we hardly got any sleep due to the noise in the rooms and hallway around us. Also the A/C would only cool the room down slightly so it was hard to sleep. I do not recommend it!!! The only good part was the friendly chef and breakfast workers.

Terrible hotel. Checked out early

Posted Mar 8, 2015
Stayed at the four points phoenix and in booking for another 3 nites, made a mistake and booked at the Tempe four points instead. As soon asi realized what I had done, I tried to call to cancel or at least have them transfer my reservation back. I got nowhere, ruined my trip and the Tempe four points was so bad I actually flew home 2 days early

Hotel close to Barrett Honors College

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: Nice pillows; parking was easy.
Cons: Customer service training for personnel -- including getting the breakfast crew some help when there are large crowds.
Location: Close to Arizona State University.
Thought this would be a great choice to stay while visiting our college student. We've stayed at many Sheraton properties before, but this was a real disappointment. Starting with the front desk attendant who didn't ever make eye contact with us to the maid supervisor who banged on our door before 9:00 am on Sunday to demand when we'd be checking out. Not exactly a welcoming environment. This property is in a great location, but honestly, we doubt if we could recommend it.

Nice location near ASU and nice pool area.

Our room didn't have a microwave or fridge, and we're used to that even in Days Inn or Super 8 hotels. The hotel could use some updating in the hallways (doors, carpet, etc). We had the only section with just a lookout over the pool, not a patio & chairs, and we wanted to sit out & enjoy the weather in Tempe. Was a little disappointed when I wanted to lay out by the pool, and the maintenance was trimming bushes/shrubs all morning into the afternoon. It wasn't peaceful, and kind of annoying. Other than that, traffic was pretty sound proofed overnight and during the day. Which was surprising, being right on a busy street. Location is excellent next to Arizona State campus. We were in town to visit my son at ASU. We had a good stay overall, and the hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, staff was courteous.

No more Expedia hotel bookings for me!!!!!!

Posted Jan 31, 2015
This hotel was the final of three bookings for rooms through Expedia for this trip. The first booking I made was for 1 night at the Westward Look Resort and Spa in Tucson, AZ. I used a $50 Expedia coupon and could not have been happier or more comfortable!!!!!!! The next booking was 2 nights at the La Quinta Inn on W. Grove Street in Mesa, AZ. What a disappointment. The first room they put us in smelled like cigarette smoke (it is a NON-SMOKING hotel). When I complained, they moved us one floor down. The room smelled better, but was not terribly nice. The final booking was for Four Points by Sheraton in Tempe, AZ. HORRIBLE BEYOND WORDS!!!! One of the queen beds in the room was broken down . . . no way the staff didn't KNOW THAT! The smell in the room was terrible . . . not cigarette smoke, some kind of bug spray or cleaning chemical!!! The room they moved us to was better, but not anywhere near what I was expecting. The Four Points by Sheraton was hosting the New England Patriots cheerleaders for the Super Bowl. It must have had some better rooms available in it. So I figured out that we were put in one of the worst rooms in the place not because the hotel was completely full that night, but because I had booked through Expedia and was given a room not normally rented out for premium guests. But the price was more per night than any room I had booked that trip!
