Nice large hotel for the price. Needed new carpet.Posted Dec 9, 2014
Pros: Outside appearance. Location.
Cons: Room interiors are clean but need updating. Rooms seemed old.
Location: We had family nearby. I will say there are several small, very good Mexican food restaurants nearby.
I would recommend this hotel for people who are shopping price and still want the amenities of a larger hotel/conference center.

How many survey/questions do you ask about a hotel stay? I've already answered some! I didn't feel safe in this hotel. It was very large, but did not see 1 person other than the desk clerk. It was spooky! The room was not very clean, especially the bathroom! I just stayed one nite and flew out very early the next morning. I expected a "convention center" to have a hotel shuttle. They did not, so they called a cab for me. That worked out fine, the cab was a little early and so was I since I couldn't sleep. The cab cost $26. + tip. Next door was a closed down old gas station, which gave a bad impression of the neighborhood.

As long as you do not stay on a Friday night, OK.Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Location was super for our needs. Attractive grounds and facilities. Really nice bed in our room.
Cons: Better Wi-Fi. More attention to disturbing noises by staff.
The hotel is a bit run down but clean and serviceable. Apparently Friday night [Nov 14, 2015] was party night. We got into bed about 11 o'clock and with all of the loud music, people banging on doors and loud talk and shouting we did not get to sleep until 5 am. Much better on Saturday night. We were promised Wi-Fi and got nothing, we were given the three systems they had available and could not get to log in. Front desk clerk was very nice but obviously knew nothing about what was wrong. I log in all over the country with no problem. Except Mesa AZ.

Hotel has probably lived it's glory daysPosted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: Not in the city but close enough to Phoenix to shop. The convention center was very clean and looked good. The courtyard is beautiful.
Cons: The continental breakfast was subpar, could be better. Up keep of the hotel.
Location: Location is good. There are areas for shopping but not malls, that I did not see.
Hotel staff is not very welcoming, but can't say anyone is rude. Hotel is old and a little musty. Location is good, not in Phoenix, but close enough. I never saw the pool but was told it was not well kept, so I didn't want to see it.

Sewage smell and no housekeepkingPosted Oct 6, 2014
Our reservation (confirmed by phone 2 days prior) for 2 adjoining rooms was met with 2 rooms in separate buildings, not even close to each other. That was corrected, but when we reached our rooms, one smelled of urine, and the other had no sheets on the bed and blankets and spreads were piled on the floor. A call to the desk told us that housekeeping had left at 4 PM (it was now 5PM). I requested sheets and said we'd make the beds ourselves when we returned from dinner. After dinner, we had ONE sheet for two queen beds. I called again and was told that was all there were. It was almost 10 pm and we didn't want to go motel looking that late so we made do. We will not stay at this hotel again nor will we recommend it.

Good for a nightPosted Sep 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel needs updating, but is OK for overnight stays. The staff was helpful and pleasant from check-in through check-out. Special thanks to Starling for going beyond duty for preparing an earlier than usual breakfast for us. We had an early morning air flight, and needed to leave the hotel before normal breakfast hours. He fixed us food to eat and take with. The grounds could use some landscaping. The pool and hot tub were beautiful and pleasant. Safe and quiet.

the hotel is clean enough service was nice enough it was quiet but they were only eight cars in the parking lot it looks a little run down outside but pretty nice inside big rooms lots of space my only problem was the free breakfast you had to eat it inside the lobby when I try to take it back to my room I was informed of the hotel policy I prefer to eat where I want to eat.
