The room was tiny but, clean and well presented

Pros: The breakfast was excellent.
Cons: The room size and shower enclosure and control
Location: Very convinient to my work place.
The shower control was stuck and so I could not regulate the heat setting, so my shower was warm but not hot. Also the shower head sprayed water out of the side so whilst you showered it sprayed the wall and soaked the floor. The fire alarm went off at 5.55 on the first morning (presumably by mistake) which was a bit off putting. The staff although polite and pleasant English was not their first language and proceeded to talk in their native language at every available occasion. But apart from that it was all good.

BROKEN TOILET

Pros: Price, car parking and breakfast.
Cons: We wrote it above.
Location: Location is great.
Our toilet seat was broken, we reported it but there was no feedback until we went to the reception again to find out . Toilet roll was insufficient. The annex to the Hotel does not look like part of the hotel and the main entrance door lock needs fixing. Apart from that, the morning breakfast was great. The staff there are fantastic, car parking is also good.

Old hotel, not in a good area.

Cons: Everything!
Location: We chose this hotel because it was close to London City airport.
The rooms are not all in the hotel building itself. Our room was in some building across the street. The room door had a very poor lock, and there wasn't a telephone in the room. The room itself was very old and very small. My wife did not feel safe, and hardly slept at all. The staff were friendly and helpful, but I would never stay at this hotel again.The posted photos are very deceiving.

Good staff, small rooms

Pros: Staff.
Cons: Size of rooms and quality and choice of breakfast food.
Location: Two roads from town and rail station, five minutes walk, about 10 mins to Stratford and Olympic Park and 30 min into central London.
Our initial impression was positive as the reception area was bright and well decorated with comfortable looking button backed leather style chairs and the staff very helpful and friendly. However our room was really small, with one side of the double bed against the wall as there was only room on one side for a bedside cabinet and lamp, a few open hangers next to the door and a desk with a couple of small drawers. The room above us was occupied and the noise of the floorboards was so loud it was very annoying. The breakfast buffet room was a little small for the number of people using it. There was a varety of choice but the food was very basic and uninviting with no bacon or tomatoes included in the English selection. There was a good selection of teas.

Let me write a short list of the pros and cons in our experience staying at the BW Ilford. Pros: - Free breakfast! Cons: -plumbing issues (plumbing was disconnected from the sink in our room, ended with very wet socks and no apology from hotel staff) -staff talking loudly through the night, with no A/C in the rooms the windows have to stay open, good luck sleeping. -triple rooms are in a basement with loads of black mold and lots of damage (had to move part way through our stay) -unfriendly staff - 2 nights in the middle of the night (1:30/2:45 am) I had the front desk call me to ask if I was still unhappy with our room. Thanks for the courtesy call! -None of the security doors to get inside lock, a very shady neighborhood, with lots of crime according to the locals. Stay away from this terrible place. Spend a tiny but more and stay in central London. Cheers

Pros: Breakfast, comfortable beds, tv, free wi fi, welcoming, friendly staff. proximity to shops and station, cleanliness.
Cons: Card access to door didn't work on a few occasions, quickly rectified by staff. Lack of close by laundry facilities.
Location: Good location close to trains and shops, in a quiet area.Only 15 minutes by train into Liverpool Street Station in Central London.
We stayed for 11 days and travelled 15 minutes by train into London each day. Hotel was close to shops and train station. Reception was always open and helped us immediately with any of our needs or concerns. We arrived on an early flight and only had to wait a short while until our room was available. In that time we were offered cold and hot drinks and cake and chocolate. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was fantastic with a variety of cereals, fruit, hot foods, drinks and bread and cakes. The staff were friendly and efficient, replacing food trays regularly and cleaning tables quickly to ensure minimum waiting times for tables. Room was serviced every day.

London/Europe July 2014

We were originally reserved at Best Western Ilford. When we arrived there.... They stated we were actually booked at Best Western Greater London, about a 7 minute walk closer to the subway station. We were disappointed at first but it turned out to be quite wonderful. 5 minutes from subway, exceptional breakfast, and a really wonderful and extremely friendly and helpful front desk clerk named Martines. He helped up find our way around, made suggestions as to what to see, stored our luggage prior to departure and was just generally very friendly. It was about 40 minutes via subway to the main London attractions but inexpensive. Make sure you eat the breakfast!!! Lots of food on the buffet and also can order hot food from a short menu. Rooms were very small as I expected but clean and more than adequate. We really enjoyed ourselves!
