Nice hotel, comfortable and adequate for our stay.

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Breakfast, comfortable beds, tv, free wi fi, welcoming, friendly staff. proximity to shops and station, cleanliness.
Cons: Card access to door didn't work on a few occasions, quickly rectified by staff. Lack of close by laundry facilities.
Location: Good location close to trains and shops, in a quiet area.Only 15 minutes by train into Liverpool Street Station in Central London.
We stayed for 11 days and travelled 15 minutes by train into London each day. Hotel was close to shops and train station. Reception was always open and helped us immediately with any of our needs or concerns. We arrived on an early flight and only had to wait a short while until our room was available. In that time we were offered cold and hot drinks and cake and chocolate. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was fantastic with a variety of cereals, fruit, hot foods, drinks and bread and cakes. The staff were friendly and efficient, replacing food trays regularly and cleaning tables quickly to ensure minimum waiting times for tables. Room was serviced every day.

Small hotel with extremely friendly staff.

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: My overwhelming plus for this hotel was the staff who were all brilliant.
Cons: It was very warm in the UK when we stayed and the room got very hot. Air conditioning would have been very useful.
I travel all over the world and spend approx. 60 nights a year in hotels, which are all of a very good standard. My son and I needed to stay in this Best Western for four nights and were both very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean, the room was small but adequate and (most importantly) all of the staff were very kind, courteous and friendly. We were greeted with juice and/or tea & coffee on arrival, a fridge had been requested for our room and they bent over backwards to provide one and all of the staff were just delightful. Especially Victoria, Tayyab and Elena. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would certainly recommend it to anyone.

Hotel in not best location, police told us.

Posted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Response from front desk people.
Location: When I arrived, I ask 2 policemen for directions. they told me, then said the location was ok during the day, but would not advise going out after 8pm
Room on ground floor. No air conditioning. Room was VERY warm, after second day of asking, I was given a rotateing fan that had no protecting cover for front. Also TV did not work, called office (3) times and finally got it fixed. Missed 3 days if world cup!! Breakfast started out really good, then the selections decreased each day!

Overall good hotel

Good value for your money, but the location is far away from central london, and a little sketchy at night.

Hotel in the City

Posted May 29, 2014
Cons: Parking. I was fined by the city council for "dangerous parking". I parked my car on the roadside near the hotel building. Please do something!
My overall experience is nice. However, there was few things I should mentioned here. First, about the key deposits; should have informed the customer about the requirement on the web. Secondly, parking spaces; there's no enough spaces. Hotel should raise this matter to the city council.

Best Western Ilford

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: friendly clean good value for money
Cons: Breakfast was basic (no bacon with cooked breakfast)
Location: handy for train to central London 5 min walk away with regular trains to London stations/tube
Excellent customer service: we attended breakfast at a time when the small dining room was full staff allowed us back to our room and called us when the restaurant was less busy ( a short time later.) We were allowed to leave our car after check out so that we could travel to central London by train/tube and collect it later. Very close to train network ( 5mins walk) for easy access to central London Modest sized Room very clean with good facilities, bed adequate breakfast options limited but sufficient, booked two rooms at a competitive price one non noise the other disturbed by other guests on the corridors outside the room passing by through the night. Over all good budget hotel and would stay there again

Not what I expected

Posted May 23, 2014
Arrived late to find the hotel was on 3 different sites&. Despite telling them of my arrival time there was no secure car park space for me. Hotel promoted free Wi-Fi but there was no code in the room (nor a phone to call reception) the Wi-Fi didn't work. Overall a poor experience.

Tiny room and bathroom pod

Posted May 7, 2014
The hotel was clean and well presented but our room (#8) was tiny. Just enough space for a desk and a double bed with its side against the wall. But you couldn't open the bathroom door when someone was anywhere but on the bed. The bathroom was a pod where you banged yourself on the sink whenever you walked in. The tap on the sink didn't flow decently into the sink - it needs to be further in so you can wash your hands properly. The shower was okay and there were some toiletries but we had to ask for big towels because there was only a hand towel supplied.
