If you want a soda or snacks you have togo to the 7/11 across the street. Do not do that after dark.

Great position and valuePosted May 28, 2015
Pros: Its proximity to transport and attractions
Cons: Maybe a refrigerator and safe in the room!!! But wasn't a deal breaker!!
Location: The cable cars, Pier 39 (eg the seals and the boat to Alcatraz), just across the road from the start of the top deck tours, short cycle to the bridge
We stayed for 3 nights. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Great value for the position it is in!!! Close to the pier, shops restaurants - what else do you need!!! One of the staff in particular was very helpful. Would stay again!!!!

Old and noisePosted May 26, 2015
The noise was awful. The walls were so thin you could hear people on the phone. The staff left there carts all over including in front of the elevator. Not even a hair dryer in the room. Not that inexpensive either!

Heart of Fisherman's Wharf. Cheap and clean!Posted May 20, 2015
Can't beat the location and price. Rooms were cozy and clean. Some noise when people walked by, but people seemed generally respectful by keeping quiet. Free parking!

I left my heart in San FranciscoPosted May 19, 2015
We were very pleased with our stay at the Whaft Inn. I requested to have an early check in and the room was ready when I got there. The staff was very friendly. I was pleased with the service. I am glad I requested a room in the back of the building because the corner is very busy. The location of the hotel was very good and close to many restaurants. The hotel could use a new paint coat since it is an old hotel but the room was very comfortable.

ConvenientPosted May 18, 2015
Pros: The staff was very friendly. I found Brian to be especially helpful and I asked him a lot of questions.
Cons: SO cold in the room told no heater because "this is SF" What? With the exception of a few everyone outside was bundled up. Why bundle up in my room!
Location: You can walk to Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Pier 33 for Alcatraz cruise. The Big Bus takes off across the street. Food and shops everywhere.
#1 I was happy to find a nice place with free parking. We weren't familiar with the city and being there only a couple of days I was convenient for walking to Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, Pier 39 and Pier 33 to go to Alcatraz.

Very pleasedPosted May 11, 2015
Pros: Free onsite parking and location.
Cons: Maybe some painting in the hallways. Overall for an older property it was in pretty good shape.
Location: Fishermans wharf, shopping, tour bus station, all kinds and variety of restaurants, from Fast food to very expensive, Pier 39 and seal watching.
We were able to park car onsite. Tour bus station across the street. We had a nice balcony with view of the Embarcadero and the water. Walking distance to wide range of restaurants, shopping, and siteseeing. We were very happy with our stay.

Horrible experience.Posted May 9, 2015
The room was dirty, the floor was sticky, the wall was sticky. There was hair stuck to the wall. The room was not air conditioned. We checked out the next morning and went to another hotel. They would not refund the other two days that we had prepaid. Do not stay at The Wharf Inn.

Very comfrtable hotel in the heart of the bay.Posted May 6, 2015
Very comfortable accomodations in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf. Staff were courteous & and friendly, rooms were good, and the free parking is a huge plus (which is great for travelers on a budget. The Holiday Inn which is 2 blocks away charges $50 to park your car per night, on top of what their room rate is). I will definately make the Wharf Inn my go-too hotel when I return to SF.
