"Great hotel right in the middle of everything"
Lots of character and a super comfortable hotel. The staff was fantastic. Parking is a challenge in this area and the fact that they had a parking garage for guests only was a real plus.

"Relaxing and warm"
Many positives here--wonderful staff, very clean, Native American owned and themed, great live music in the evenings. We loved the location--easy walking distance to all the Santa Fe shops and museums but not in the middle of them. Quiet and a bit separate.

Within walking distance to plaza and restaurants, very friendly staff, good breakfast, comfortable bed. Internet is very slow-was unusable in my room and barely usable in the lobby. When I mentioned it to staff they expressed concern as they had just had it serviced

Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi

113 Washington Avenue, Santa Fe 87501 - Map
"Gem at the cross roads"
The Inn of the Anasazi is well designed built and located. It has traditionally been of impeccable service standards. On our most recent visit the staff seemed to be poorly trained and inadequately scheduled. Through out our stay employees were busy having personal conversations about work (scheduling, staffing, dissatisfaction) and failed to stop long enough to acknowledge guests. On check in the desk agent was unfamiliar with standard options and amenities and Danny the bell man had to try and salvage the check in. The house keeper through away my sunday paper while I was out and when I asked for another I was given saturdays. When I asked if I could get a cookie (they put them out every afternoon) the employee trying to help me asked if he could get more cookies and the dining staff made fun of him for eating too many all ready and when he pointed out it was for a guest they said there weren't any more despite having been told by the desk there was no problem. The hostess bemoaned the chef's frustration at the lack of creativity in his job to the concierge while I waited for the elevator. The one bright spot in all of it was Wes the concierge who was really quite exceptional. The property is brilliant and there are a few pieces they can build on, but overall the staff need to be trained or replaced. It was marginal 3 star service.

"I'll stay again"
This charming bed and breakfast has something for everyone. Just ask for what you want and the staff will make every effort to provide it; they are genuinely people-people. Each room is uniquely decorated. Breakfast is made- to-order omelettes and waffles plus a coffee bar, fruit, cereal and bread. We even had homemade muffins one day. Location is perfect and if you don't want to walk, there's a shuttle that will pick you up and take you anywhere in a mile radius. Beds are for sleeping in, but get. Up early and don't miss any part of the day. I see no reason that'll I'll ever stay anywhere else in Santa Fe, my favorite city.

The Lodge at Santa Fe

It is a charming hotel with excellent decor in the rooms as well as the lobby. The rooms are very clean, and very spacious. We were surprised to not find a small refrigerator. A lot of people, like us, are traveling long distances and have some food items that need to be kept cold. I will definitely stay in this hotel again in the future, but will hope to find a small fridge there.

Many of the hotels in Santa Fe are conveniently located in downtown or Cerrillos Road. While these two hotel hot spots are within easy access of each other, they differ in their ambience and appeal. Downtown has a historical vibe with an old Western environment, while Cerrillos Road is a much more modern area with an urban feel. Regardless of where you book one of the Santa Fe hotels, you’ll find a variety of lodging options, from budget-friendly motels to splurge-worthy accommodations.

One of the best ways of getting around is to reserve a Santa Fe rental car in advance. With the exception of downtown, which is walkable, there are a number of roads that run through the city and are easy to navigate. Many of the streets do have sharp turns, so take care when cruising along these roads.

The city also provides the North Central Regional Transit District, which is a free bus service that runs Monday through Friday. The routes service communities in Santa Fe, along with Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, and Taos. The Santa Fe Trails also offers bus service to the area, with routes to Crosstown, Cerrillos Road, Agua Fria, and Rodeo Road, among others.

    Travel Basics

Realize that Santa Fe is a high-altitude destination, which can contribute to a number of health-related problems if travelers are ill prepared to handle it. Focus on staying hydrated, pack plenty of sunscreen, and be especially vigilant if you’re hiking to even higher altitudes. Some visitors may feel experience headaches, or feel nauseated and especially tired when acclimating.

For vacationers who plan to get behind the wheel during their Santa Fe travels, take caution. Drivers in this area are notorious for running red lights, so remain extra focused around intersections. For whatever reason, items failing off of trailers and pick-up trucks are another common occurrence. Remain alert while driving on these roads and maintain a safe distance behind other vehicles.

Santa Fe presents four distinct seasons each year. The winters usually experience temperatures around 40 F with the chance of snowfall. When spring rolls in, the climate is dry and offers arguably some of the best temperatures all year round. Come summer, the heat spikes around 90 F, but afternoon thunderstorms help to cool it down during July and August. Autumn brings cooler temperatures and crisp evenings before the winter chill sets in.

Santa Fe is a scenic destination, located at the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, where anytime is a good time to visit. Allow us here at to match you up with cheap flights to Santa Fe, along with car rentals and hotel rooms to suit all your travel preferences.
