Pros: Convenience to airport
The front desk staff was great! Check in was very smooth. Clerk added my HH # to the account. Room was nice. Furniture was a little dated, but overall it was a nice hotel. Has a starbucks just past the lobby and a nice restaurant that had a buffet breakfast.

Great place to stay if you fly in and out of SEATAPosted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: close to airport with shuttles
Cons: could use a dedicated suitcase stand for unpacking/packing.
Nice spacious room with a very comfortable bed, great bathroom and other amenities.

Peaceful nightPosted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: This hotel has comfortable beds, it may sound like a simple thing but a good night's sleep is the most important thing a hotel has to offer for me.
We spent the night here before a flight. It was very peaceful, now this was inspite of a large noisy convention. They provided us with a free upgrade to a quiet location and we didn't even have to ask as it was obvious we were not part of the convention. I also have to admit, I am really partial to their cookies.

Badly designed industrial style hotelPosted Oct 7, 2014
Location: Close to airport hence the price
Huge hotel but strangely designed so that access to the various wings required a devious route. Go to the end of one corridor go to second floor, walk to end of next corridor go to lift go down one floor, walk to end of corridor to the room. Pulling a hotel trolley made this a chore. Nobody around to help on check in and no trolleys around on leaving. Very busy place. Functional nothing more.

Wonderful Location - Full Service HotelPosted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: Location and décor.
Location: Airport, light rail and public transportation nearby.
Hotel very close to airport, light rail, and bus service. Light rail provides good access to city. Hotel has 14 story tower and 4 story wings. If using a car,the wing rooms are very convenient to ample parking lot. If not using a car, the tower rooms are preferable. Pleasant staff. Good value.

Parking extra.Posted Oct 6, 2014
When I arrived at the desk, I found that parking would cost me an additional $23 per night. Otherwise the whole experience was top notch.

Wooded Landscape and Duck PondPosted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: The surrounding grounds are pure Northwest!
Cons: Although this can't really be improved, be aware that it is a very large property with several "wings". Be prepared to walk!
Location: Ours was a one-night layover so no sightseeing. However, the light rail to downtown is very close.
Huge property close to the airport with busy International Blvd at the front and ducks in a large pond in the back. Left our room to check out with four suitcases and - ARGH - "Temporarily out of order" sign on the elevator. A woman from housekeeping was nearby and we asked about alternate elevators. She wouldn't tell us - she took one of our bags and walked us to another elevator. All staff was this pleasant and helpful. If you are used to having a bellman wrestle your luggage, we never saw one so hope you have wheels on those bags! Airport shuttle service. Free WiFi which is pretty standard these days.

Better than most for the pricePosted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Elevators were fast, cookies were some of the best I've eaten and the desk clerks had smiles on their faces when we checked in.
Cons: Upon check-in the desk clerk should tell a new hotel guest about where to eat.
Location: We stayed at the Double Tree to be near our children's home so we could go visit them, but not invade their home. A lot of fast highways well marked.
Enjoyed this hotel especially the chocolate chip cookies. Checked in after dark. Hotel desk clerk gave us a map to drive around the bldg for parking but gave poor instruction on which door to enter. Got lost & got grumpy before we found our room. Make sure you have a clear understanding of the layout and which door to enter to get to your room. We did expect to get a refrigerator in a hotel of this quality, but no refrigerator. I was surprised how quite the hotel was for the number of rooms. Parking was $21 per night, but that is a deal compared to downtown Seattle hotels that charge upwards of $60 per night just to park your car. Then the valet expects you to tip them on top of that.

Smelly, old motelPosted Oct 1, 2014
Pros: had shuttle to airport
Cons: total renovation
Location: right by airport, good Thai restaurant across street.
I was extremely disappointed. Registration was slow, although the people were very nice and accommodating when I was finally waited on about 10 - 15 minutes after arrival. The first room I was given smelled old & very moldy. I thought I could stick it out, but it was so bad that I asked to be moved. I was in a foot cast and by myself so I REALLY didn't want to have to relocate. An employee was at my room in about 5 minutes, and she accompanied me to the new room to make sure it was OK. The room smelled old, but without the mould smell. I took a shower in the morning, and the shower did not drain properly. I left my car for 4 nights, and there were no problems when I returned. I will never stay here again, unless they have an extensive renovation.
