Clean rooms, friendly, helpful staff and good downtown location. Will definitely book here next time we are in Seattle

Very small, No amenitiesPosted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: Staff is friendly, elevators are quick, beds are comfy.
Cons: Better sound-proofing in general. We could hear every noise from the rooms next to us: laughter, doors, TV noise
Location: Great location for being an on-foot tourist! Walked to Pike Place Market several times, even in the rain!
The Good: - Sheets were clean, and bed was very comfy. - Staff is friendly and responsive - Vovito espresso Bar is great, as is the Sazerac across the street. - Excellent location, if you want to walk to Pike Place Market, etc. - Good water pressure The Bad: - The double room was VERY small. We were 2 adults and a child, staying for a week, and did not have enough room in the 2 small drawers for our clothes. There is no chair, table, ironing board or anything, because there was barely enough room for the 2 double beds and the dresser. Not even enough room for the standard fold-away suitcase stand :( - Wi-fi was very spotty and inconsistent - Bathroom was TINY... as in, the bathtub itself was modified in order to fit into the room, and the shower head is installed very low on the wall. No counter space or hangers in the bathroom. - Asked for a room away from the elevator so we could have quiet, and we were assured that our room would be quiet. However, we were situated directly across the hall from the ice maker. Not a quiet location at all. - Very warm, and the air conditioning didn't work. Left our window open the entire week, and even then, was too warm to remain asleep all night

You get what you pay for...Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: Air conditioning units need to be replaced. Better toilets. Housekeeping could definitely be a little more thorough.
Location: Location was great. Just a 10 minute walk to the Monorail. Also blocks from Pike Place Market!
My boyfriend & I stayed here for a total of 3 nights. We got there around 4pm and checked in. The staff was very welcoming, and helped us check in very fast. We go to get the elevator, and although it is pretty fast, the elevator is pretty old. You can tell they tried to spruce it up, but let's face it... it's old. We get to our floor to look for our room, and the number to our room was missing. We had to ask a staff member if that indeed was our room, and she verified that it was. So that off the bat had us a little weary about the place. We get into the room and its quite small, and stuffy. The bathroom was probably then nicest thing in that room. About the bathroom, there was no type of fan or anything in there, and the toilet did not flush very well. I was also a little bummed out that there was no full size mirror in there. Also, the heater/AC unit was just awful. I don't feel that it did anything to the room. We had it on all night and when you turn it on, it has a weird smell to it. In the morning, my boyfriend was ironing his shirt, and the ironing board we got was extremely old, and broken! Our first night there, we had ordered pizza and we had a lot of trash, no trash can in sight. There is one under the sink, but it's tiny. So we put our trash in that small bin... and it was not emptied the whole time we stayed there! Also, the comforter had a drop of dried blood, which was NOT mine or my bf's. Gross...

It is an old buildingPosted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: The coffee shop downstairs and a great restaurant down the street.
Cons: something to put down a suitcase besides the bed, and some shelf in the bathroom or hooks in the bathroom
Location: Rock bottom restaurant, walking distance
The walls are thin, you can hear conversations and other things next door. The beds are small, no hooks for hanging anything in bathroom or bedroom, no room in bathroom but the towlet to put things on. Very disappointed with stay.

Good downtown hotelPosted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: Relatively reasonable price for downtown Seattle. Good location for all things in downtown Seattle and close to transit routes.
Cons: More flexibility on check in time.
Location: See above.
Hotel is in walking distance of most key downtown sites. Many fine restaurants close by. One block from major city bus line stop. Although an older building, it seems reasonably well maintained and is kept clean. Bell captains are very helpful.

cozy downtown spotPosted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: 5pm wine tasting in the lobby was nice.
Cons: Ac/Heat unit upgrade.
Location: The hotel is within a ten minute walk to the main shopping/waterfront/convention center. 3 blocks to link rail to the airport.
the hotel is recently remodeled and the rooms are nice. I had a queen size bed and it took up 75 percent of the room. No desk, just a chair. The old ac unit was not good in my room so it was kind of stuffy, not sure if any other rooms had a more updated system.

SmallPosted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: In the down town. ok
Location: Meeting at another hotel
This hotel is build in 1928, almost 100 years. the room is very small, like the hotel in Japan. The basien is really tinnyl. with diameters less than 20cm. One thing I have to mention is that the trim is not pressure balance valve.
