Three night visit to Sedona.

Pros: Position. Sedona is beautiful and surrounding mountains stunning.
Cons: Price could be reduced to be in keeping with the actual and not the intended standard.
Location: Lots of hiking trails in the surrounding mountains. We also hired an all terrain buggy and had a four hour trip into the mountains, excellent.
Reception area and staff were impressive suggesting a top resort but our upstairs suite in a block of six was tired and disappointing. No automatic room/bathroom cleaning service (although you could request it). Hot water not functioning on arrival, repaired but then intermittent. Another family member had a ground level suite but outside was having work done so really a building site. Two on site restaurants were good. Two pools were good. Other leisure facilities, gym/tennis, which we didn't use.

Very small, compact room for a resort.

Pros: Location.
Cons: Include the "resort fee" in the cost. Larger rooms.
Location: It's Sedona!!!!! Lots of hiking, shopping, and dining.
I know everyone says it, but the "resort fee" tacked on to the price is just a means for resorts to collect additional funds without any added benefit. The location is wonderful and the grounds are sweet. The restaurant that was open had good "sports bar food." It took a while to register.

A getaway from the city life.

ILoved it loves it, my 18month loved the pool! I booked the one standard room w/ 1 bedroom for 3 adult and 2 toddler. The only down is that you can feel the springs of the pull out couch. Other then that I we'll stay there again on my next vacation.

The staff were more interested in selling than service. We asked for housekeeping service and it seemed like it was a big problem for them. Would not stay there again.

It saddens us to hear about the disappointments you experienced with your stay. As you may already be aware, we are primarily a Vacation Ownership property. As such, housekeeping services are provided on a weekly basis for guests staying longer. A daily housekeeping service is available for a nominal fee. When notified, we are happy to provide you with fresh linens, towels, toiletries and waste removal, at no cost to you. We will, of course, ensure that the team advises our guests at the point of check-in should they not be aware of our environment friendly cleaning policy. We would like to assure you that the impression you have after your recent stay with us is not what we strive to offer our guests and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced if you did not appreciate our sales presentation offering. We do offer incentives to our guests to attend an approximately 90 minute sales presentation to see if they are interested in learning more about our product (requires a deposit). However, this presentation is optional, and our guests do not have to attend this, provided it is not part of the requirements for their stay package. We hope this has not ruined your stay in any way and we look forward to seeing you again if you do decide give us another chance and stay with us again in the future!

Nice hotel that needs all around upgrading.

Pros: pool area was nice.
Cons: Cleanliness of common area.
Location: Sedona has many places to see and do and we were very impressed by the town and people.
Upon arrival noticed that carpet in reception area was dirty and needed cleaning. First turnoff. We did not know that we were at a timeshare and that we would be pushed to attend a 120 minute presentation. While the staff who made the presentation was nice she took too long trying to convince us to attend. After a long drive we were anxious to get to our room. I also didn't like the fact that we were not told she would make this presentation at the time we were referred to her once we checked in. We were told "she will have some gifts for you". There were, but it was conditioned on our signing up for presentation. Second turnoff. Having traveled quite a bit we are always impressed by the staff, this one felt they could care less if we were there. It felt like the staff was not a happy staff. We will not return.

We didn't realize property was a time share.

Cons: When checking in, aquaint visitors with where to park, which resturants give a discount to those staying at the property,where the pool, minigolf are

2 bedroom Los Abrigados

Pros: Pool area was nice, proximity to restaurants. Washer/dryer in the unit was nice to have.
Cons: Overall quality of the rooms. It would have been nice if somehow we could have been notified that the room that we wanted wasn't available.
This is a pretty decent complex for the price. Based on the pictures, we expected nicer rooms though. The carpet was pretty dated and the kitchen area was a small galley. The main reason we booked the hotel was because the 2nd bedroom came with 2 beds. We were travelling with our 2 daughters (ages 17 and 20) and the 2 beds were essential. However, when we checked in, there were none available. They offered a roll away, but that wasn't going to work as there really wasn't space in the room. The pool area was nice, the restaurants in the area next to the hotel were good. We didn't get to use the spa as it closed at 6 on the Sunday we arrived and then massage times were all booked for the remainder of our stay. The patio off our unit was nice, except that there was zero privacy. We had to keep all of the blinds drawn during our stay.

Started off on the wrong foot with the Desk Clerk. When I commented that a 10 AM was early...she replied..."No it isn't". When I told her I stay in hundreds of hotels and I had never come across such an early checkout time she responded that that was because they are a time share. I told her I didn't rent a time share, I reserved a hotel room. In fairness, she did ask me if she could arrange for a late check at 11 AM which I agreed to. The major disappointment of the entire experience was that the carpeting in the bedrooms of both units we rented were very soiled...(black in many places)...not sure if this reflects the age of the carpeting and its need to be replaced or is just a matter of it not having been cleaned recently....I found it ironic that the apparent CEO of Diamond Resorts Int'l has a repeating video describing his standard of cleanliness as going into a room and checking the tops of the interior doors with a white glove. He obviously has not looked at this property for a long time, if ever. I was disappointed overall because the resort has a good reputation in the area.

Great resort with all the trimmings

Location: Amazing location in a magical place. Bring your hiking boots.
Not too many hotels let you walk anywhere in Sedona. This is right next door to Tlaquepaque and walkable to galleries, restaurants. Our suite had everything we needed; we could live there! Plus there were non-stop activities for kids AND grown-ups. Terrific fitness options too. We were blown away by the food at the restaurant onsite: Tomi Just be forewarned: they WILL try and sell you on the timeshare. The 90-minute presentation is avoidable.
