Simple well priced hotelPosted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: The pleasant helpful staff.
Cons: Provide bars of soap in the bathroom.
Location: Convenient, quiet location right near train station with an easy walk to restaurants, shops and the Cathedral.
The staff were very helpful and pleasant and the hotel amenities were very good for its price category.

A great central locationPosted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: Location, location, location - combined with the price and that there was parking just over the road.
Cons: Could do with more power points in the bedrooms and the Wi-Fi, whilst free, was annoying because you have to re-login constantly.
Location: Amiens has a pretty little centre, an impressive cathedral, the town is very clean and very friendly.
We chose to stop here on the way back to Calais and we were not really expecting very much of the town or the hotel. We were surprised by both. The town is charming and full of history, it's very clean and well looked after. The Hotel is right next to the main train station and you are just moments from the historic centre of Amiens. There is a car park just over the road that charged around €7 for the night. The hotel was clean with friendly staff. The twin room was a decent size and was well furnished with a comfy bed bright walls and a nice little bathroom, I didn't hear any noise from the train station which is just over the road. The Breakfast was an additional €10/person for a buffet style continental breakfast which was fresh and very welcome before that list drive towards the tunnel.

ExcellentPosted Jul 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
First time in Amiens and a great choice. This hotel is 2 years old and yet appears new. Rooms are more than adequate and very clean. Staff are friendly and Sam the barman serves a good beer and a few free olives!! This hotel offers value for money and like most new supposed budget hotels are in many ways better than more expensive competitors.. Well Done Campanile.

Central and comfortablePosted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Staff were helpful. Parking was nearby and reasonable. 7 euros overnight.
Location: Amiens cathedral is spectacular and worth a visit to this pretty and historic town.
Very comfortable hotel in a central location. Minimalist decor which I found very appealing. I would recommend this hotel to friends and stay again myself.

A weekend back in historyPosted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Top of the list were the staff, all of whom were friendly, efficient and most helpful, then location and clean facilities.
Cons: Just a small thing really - bars of soap and shower gel, rather than dispensers of harsh shampoo to wash with.
Location: Riverside on Saturday night - lots restaurants, bars live music; the Cathedral; the Hortillonages - floating gardens; shopping.
The reason for our trip was to visit the war grave of our 16 year old great uncle; to see where he fell and view some of the Somme battlefields. Be prepared for an overwhelmingly emotional area. Never been to Amiens before. We took the Eurostar and were amazed to discover that from Calais it's only 1.5 hours by car. Amiens is a surprisingly sedate, tranquil place, given its WW1 history, and is ideally placed to visit the Somme battlefields and the underground WW1 musuem at Albert.

Newer hotelPosted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: It was easy to walk to all the major sites.
Cons: Twice we asked to get change the hotel had no money. This was not helpful given that one of our requests was to get two tens for a twenty.
Location: The hotel is at the Amiens train station. Easy walking to the cathedral and Victor Hugo's house.
The hotel is as expected from a 3 star hotel in France. The neighbourhood is ok but there are nicer areas in Amiens.

Good central hotelPosted May 30, 2014
We stayed here for 3 nights whilst picking up our daughter from university in Amiens. Hotel staff were very friendly & helpful. Room was clean & the shower was great! Very close to the station- we got the train to Paris one day & only a 2 minute walk back to hotel. Car park opposite ( only €12 for 3 days). Have stayed here twice.
