Like an oasis in the dessertPosted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
Since arriving in Italy on vacation and experiencing subpar to extremely poor customer service all round (stores, bars, hotels, restaurants, etc.), coming to La Piazzetta was like an oasis in the dessert. The service of the staff was courteous and friendly and despite having some WiFi issues which they resolved, I was quite happy with the hotel and the room (FYI...we stayed in the black and white room and it was great).

Awesome time in SiennaPosted Aug 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
We loved staying in this apartment. Very modern, clean, great location. Loved having a washer to do laundry. I did not like that it was on the fourth floor but it was only bad the day we got there with all of our luggage, I say pack light.

Great location for a cute little guesthouse.Posted Aug 2, 2013
Pros: Location, good condition of hotel, nicely decorated rooms, friendly staff.
Cons: Walls were pretty thin so you could hear our neighbours during the night. The second bed which was a pullout bed was very uncomfortable.
Great location, friendly staff, nicely updated/decorated rooms. Good A/C, small kitchen area was useful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would be keen to stay here again.

Depends on the roomPosted Jul 28, 2013
Pros: Location and staff friendliness
Cons: Street noise and sleep quality
If you get a room that is away from the street then it would be excellent. If you get a family room, like we did, at the from of the hotel...then it's disappointing. The noise from the street is very bad. Also, we have been traveling for four weeks through Europe. This hotel has the hardest beds and worst pillows that we have experienced.

Wonderful time in La PiazzettaPosted Apr 19, 2013
Pros: Very clean place, nice people, wonderful view, perfect location.
Cons: Random problem with internet access
We stayed in La Piazzetta for two weeks, and had wonderful time. Our room was room # 9, very spacious, and bright with the view of Vesuvius on one side, and Piazza St. Antonio on another. “Location, location, location”. Walking distance to majority of restaurants and supermarket makes this place incredible convenient. Rooms were well cleaned on daily basis, and Raul was always on top of it. Valentina on the front desk was very nice and helpful. We strongly recommend this place!

Perfect place to stayPosted Jun 13, 2012
Pros: Perfect position, great apartment, wonderful value for money and easy to find
Cons: The sign could be clearer so you don't miss it and check in hours could be specified more clearly- otherwise perfect
Location: Could not have been a better location, quiet but still central and close to everything you could possibly want, perfect!
This was the perfect place to stay in Sorrento, it was very central, easy to get to and the staff were very helpful. We arrived outside the normal check in times but the staff who were available on site helped us with everything we could need. The room was the perfect apartment and we had a little balcony overlooking the main square. It was very easy to come and go and it felt like our own space instead of a clinical hotel, this felt more local and we therefore felt more at home. The shopping, bars and restaurants nearby were great and the train station and bus station were close for trips further afield (Positano by bus is a must). Have recommended this place to all family and friends and will return when next in Sorrento, thanks to the staff for a great stay.

A Perfect Spot!Posted Jun 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
I really would like to keep this a secret but I just have to share. This hotel was just fabulous. It was close to everything - sights, shopping and most importantly the train station (within a comfortable walking distance). I cannot tell you how accommodating the staff was. Special kudos to Valentina (the "concierge"). She was always smiling and so helpful. She made all our reservations for our sightseeing tours (except one which I did on my own and it was a total bust, learned my lesson) and when we explained that the staircase in our room (winding without a handrail) was making me nervous as my husband would have to get up in the middle of the night (I was scared to death he would end up falling) she moved us into a room that was on one floor. (These were the largest rooms I have ever stayed in while in Europe) When I say a room, it was actually an apartment. I can't say enough about this hotel, fabulous, fabulous, fabulous and the young man who cleaned the rooms was just great. If you're going to Sorrento, this is the place to stay!

Terrific find in Sorrento!Posted Mar 20, 2012
Pros: Decor, room layout, location
Cons: Weekend nighttime street noise.
La Piazzetta was a great place for our 4-night stay in Sorrento. The location is about a 10 minute walk from the train station, easy to accomplish even with luggage in tow. It's also just 10 minutes from the boat dock to Capri, Naples, etc. The decor and room layouts are unique, and having the kitchen is great. Rooms overlook a pretty little square (Piazzetta), not the water, but a sea overlook is about a five-minute walk down the street. We arrived on a Wednesday, and the square was quiet for the first two nights, but on the weekend there was a fair amount of street noise during the night and early morning, even with the window closed, so be prepared for that. Guests receive a complimentarly coffee/tea and croissant each morning at the cafe next to the guest house. The owner and staff were most helpful with train/boat/bus schedules and other information. This is the perfect base location for exploring Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri, the Amalfi coast, and even a day in Naples for the Archaeological Museum (we took the boat). We're glad we didn't pick Naples as the home base, because returning to Sorrento each day was so much more relaxing.

La Piazzetta Guest House in SorrentoPosted Feb 12, 2012 on Hotels.com
One of the best surprises during our month in Italy. Valentina went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were comfortable. It had the largest room and bath we stayed in while in Italy and the price and location could not be beat. We liked itso much we went back for our last four days proud trip,
