One of the nicest I have ever been to.Posted Nov 16, 2013
One of the nicest places I have been to. I have been to most of the Carribean islands . It is similar to la Semanna in st Martin but bigger, more restaurants and the food was better here. Although it didn't matter the stores which were in the hotel didn't measure up. There were only 3 and very weak. Could have been an ice cream shop up there would have made an improvement but that is nitpicking bc the property, facilities, setting, beaches are spectacular.

Superb!Posted Nov 11, 2013
Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness, attention to the small details
Cons: The chicken soup ordered from in-room dining. It was horrible.
Location: St. John is close, which is nice.
Always a great stay at the Ritz! The St. Thomas location is no exception. Warm staff and gorgeous scenery!

We loved it!Posted Sep 6, 2013
Pros: Great location, exceptional service, friendly staff, and amazing beach and amemities- such as water sports, sail boats, etc.
Cons: They don't recycle at all the hotel and that is a little disturbing given that they have a kids program called Ambassdors of the Environment. Sad....
Location: You can take the ferry to St John for the day and it is close to the hotel and it's nice to see the other beaches around the island and Charlotte Amal
The only compliant was that the hotel is going thru a renovation and sometimes it was noisy close by....but it is a beautiful property and the customer service is some of the best that we have ever experienced. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and got gifts from the hotel nearly every day!

Best customer service.Posted Sep 4, 2013
Cons: Beds. Food and drink prices.
Location: Shopping and dining in Red Hook. Ferry to St John.
Went to check in, room was not ready yet, so they gave us a $100 resort credit. Room was ready within 1 hr. Room was nice and if it weren't for the bed being very uncomfortable I would have given it 5 stars. Bed was not a Ritz Carlton bed, for those of you who have stayed at others. Other than that everything was great. Good food, great spa...spa was a little pricey. $463 for 80 min couples massage. All prices were as expected with the class hotel it is. Very close to Red Hook and ferry to St John.

Summer/back to school family vacationPosted Aug 31, 2013
Pros: Proximity to a great beach; the pool and restaurant facilities on the property.
Cons: The rooms were OK. We understand the rooms currently being remodeled are closer to what we expect from from the Ritz.
Location: We enjoyed the restaurants at Red Hook, the shopping at Yacht Haven Grande, the ferry for day trips to St. John and water sports from nearby beaches.
We had a great time enjoying the beaches, the pool, the accommodations and activities in the surrounding area.

Luxury Hotel Worthy of 5 StarsPosted Aug 11, 2013
Pros: Impeccable staff, beautiful grounds
Cons: Bathroom was a stand up shower with a shower curtain that flooded the entire bathroom floor with every use
Location: 30 minutes from airport, 8 minutes to Red Hook with lots of restaurants and shopping and where you catch the ferry to St. John.
Beautiful grounds and impeccable staff are the first impression of the Ritz Carlton St. Thomas. We were immediately greeted by staff and given a room upgrade. We were taken to our room by a bellhop who brought in our luggage and gave us info on the property and its amenities. Beautiful decor in the room and comfy king sized bed was amazing. Great view of the ocean from the balcony, which was quite large. Very large bathroom with double sink and seemingly endless linens. Pool was beautiful, infinity style that looked out to the ocean. Comfy pool chairs and bar and food service delivered right to your chair. Frozen drink specials daily and were delicious. Lunch menu was minimal and not my favorite. Chairs on the beach as well but the water had a lot of seaweed, not ideal snorkeling but equipment was free. Also had kayaks and paddle board free to use and a nearby volleyball court. Grounds are massive so make sure you call the bellhop to pick you up if you leave the property. No mini fridge in the room but one was delivered immediately upon request. Consierge very helpful! We just got engaged and he arranged for rose petals in the room and even sent a congratulatory gift! Also suggested great restaurants off property like Old Stone Farmhouse which is an absolute MUST!! Onsite restaurants were good but a bit pricey. Activities for kids available and looked like fun. I am spoiled now after staying at the Ritz Carlton. Worthy of every star it is rated!!!!

Great VacationPosted Aug 4, 2013
Pros: The hotel staff was great!!
Cons: .Expedia doesn't reserve the room with the hotel they only tell the hotel of your room preference, so when we checked in there were no more rooms.
Location: tons to do at the hotel
We stayed in the club level and it was worth it!! We saved money by eating all our meals in the club loung. Great food and great hotel staff.
