Still under construction.

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Lobby a mess. They said we'd have to go across the street to the Quality Inn in order to have their complimentary breakfast since the dining area was under construction. The property is in sad condition overall. Our room was newly renovated but the quality of the work was sub-par and the bathroom was dirty. On the good side, the new bed was comfortable.

The renovations are not finished yet. That is to be done in about 3more months. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable.

construction

Pros: staff and new furniture clean
Cons: spray for bugs
Location: good
Every thing was nice, staff great. Due to construction small bugs were on the floor. Was clean and very nice.

Van Horn Jubilee visit

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: Three of my siblings worked there in the 1970's so there was a memory-lane walk for them. The AC worked well--the dark curtains were good.
Cons: Finish construction
Location: It's Van Horn
The hotel was in complete disrepair--a complete remodel; so hanging plastic, dust, construction tools, stacks of materials, dust. Desk staff were friendly and helpful--indicated the work would be done next summer--maybe fall of 2016.

Comfortable While Under Construction

Posted Jun 18, 2015
The hotel is still under construction, but functioning very well. We stayed in a newly remodeled room that was excellent, very clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was nearby at an hotel, but not hard to do. This hotel will be top shelf when all renovations are completed (sometime near the end of this year).

Total construction zone

Posted May 25, 2015
Pros: Nothing
This hotel is under a total renovation. Construction debris everywhere, Carpets missing and glass doors replaced with wood with no locks. Our room was recently finished so it was pretty nice except that the bathroom tub would not drain. Would never have stayed here if I knew that the hotel was under a major renovation.

Renovations and floods

Hotel was under major renovation. The room flooded and then the toilet backed up. Worst experience ever at a hotel

Getting there, under construction.

Reserved the room ahead of time, traveling thru. They are in the middle of remodeling, but the wing we were on had been recently completed. Should be very nice once completed.

I realize the hotel is being renovated, but it was in terrible shape. The impression getting two our room almost made us want to turn around and leave. Our room was one that had been renovated and it was nice. When we went to breakfast we didn't realize the girl flirting with her boy friend was the night clerk. Is there no uniform for the office help?
