Great place in Burnaby close to amenities

Posted Sep 22, 2014
Rooms were slightly outdated but very clean and well laid out. Close to a few really great restaurants and the sky train. Breakfast from the hotel was delicious. Would stay again.

Best of limited options in Burnaby

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Cons: A little over-priced for Burnaby
Location: Brenwood Mall (under construction right now). LRT to Vancouver.
Face it Burnaby is not a destination and if you come here you are either coming because you are visiting someone as in our case or you don't want to stay in Vancouver for some reason. This hotel is perfectly adequate located in the Brentwood area close to the LRT station. Rooms are suites which is nice. They are clean and comfortable. Because of the location it can be a little noisy.

Pros: It is in a convenience location.
Cons: The Elevators are extremely Slow.
Location: Lots of Shopping close by if you are into that also the Train Station is within walking distance.
The Hotel is located in the Center of Burnaby close to the BCIT Campus and also close to the Major Shopping Malls. Restuarants are with in walking distance.

Busy Hotel on Lougheed

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Chambermaids were very friendly and accommodating!
The Hotel stay was just ok! The rooms were small, with the couch pulled out it would of been a fire hazard if there was a fire to break out in the middle of the night! We paid for an extra guest we did not receive any bedding! We called down and they told us it would be half an hour as no body else was on! We changed rooms for the second night, and asked for extra bedding, did not receive any until we called down again! A few times at the front desk no one was around, had to go to the Office and ask for assistance! Our cards did not work in the elevators a few times! Hot tub not working, pool was ok! Breakfast was ok, under staffed for Sunday and not set up as we sat outside.

Convenient location close to Skytrain

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Bathroom lighting and a television in the living room
Location: Walking distance to the Skytrain. A few restaurants within walking distance, luckily. There is a large shopping mall a short drive away.
Management suddenly decided to close the restaurant on Labour Day Monday - I'm not sure if it was for the entire day. So no dinner, room service or happy hour available and no notice given. We had planned to dine there as we were flying home the next day. I found this unusual and annoying for a hotel to close all amenities. The bathroom light was a yellowy fluorescent which made it difficult to put makeup on etc. The room was comfortable enough but as there were no windows close to the living room, all lights had to be put on to be able to see what you are doing. The one television was in the bedroom.

Noisy hotel - didn't sleep at all

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: It's close location to the Gilmore station.
Cons: Pillows. Noise. Paint. Kitchen suite. The whole room needed an update.
Location: There was Boston Pizza, Cactus Club, and a few gyms.
Between the lumpy pillows, the skytrain, and the noisy fridge in the room I barely slept at all. The hotel lobby was beautiful, but the suites were showing their age. The doors were coming off their hinges in the kitchen suite, the paint was peeling in the bathroom, and there was hair in my shower. That was gross. I chose it because it was across the street from where I was writing an exam at 8am the next day, and I'm very glad that it was only for one night. I don't think I could have handled anything more than that.

nasty hot tub, but overall good stay

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: hot tub had too many chemicals in it that it was not usable without getting sore watery eyes and double beds in rooms only
Location: location is excellent. Close to skytrain station Gilmore, close to many eateries and a mall.
nice place and would stay there again. clean with pleasant staff.

Very good value

Very clean and comfortable stay. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Close to sky train (20min to downtown). Free shuttle to local shops. Restaurant was lovely and well priced. Only downside was no transfer to the airport.
