Nice hotel, close to the Victoria Airport

Posted Jan 9, 2015
Pros: Reasonable lodging for a reasonable price - included a continental breakfast too.
Cons: Walls are thin, doors are noisy when people are going in and out of other rooms. Bring ear plugs.
Overall this was good value for the money spent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was like most others I've experienced but everything was clean and tidy.

Lack of Sleep

Posted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: They let me leave my luggage there until I was ready to move on later in the day.
Cons: As I mentioned above, staff communications. Also, the hotel needs some serious work on sound-proofing between rooms and hallways.
Location: This hotel is in Sidney, which is a charming town on Vancouver Island. It is an easy walk around town from the hotel.
This hotel is the nearest to the Victoria airport. I always choose it for this reason. And then, I am always woken up, without getting a full night's sleep. I have stayed here many times, and this is always my experience. This past stay, I arrived on the last flight of the day at the airport. It was around 2 AM when I finally went to bed. I noticed that the signs for the door were missing. (The 'Do not disturb' sign.) The next morning, a maid knocked on my door quite early to make up my room. She did not know that I was a late check-out. This is a clear communications problem that the hotel has. I gave up, and got up at that time, as the children in the room next to me were making a lot of noise.

Convenient to airport and restaurants

Posted Dec 18, 2014
Pros: Convenience to airport
Cons: Cleaner rugs in hotel hallways - the smelled awful. Not a great first impression!!
Location: Great things to see and do, unfortunately, we booked in late in the evening when most shops were already closed.
The hallways smell of smoke and dirty carpets. They really need freshening up. The meal was good in the sportsbar. The room was clean and the beds comfortable.

Perfect location for me. Facility is getting a little older now but staff is friendly and provided good customer service. Continental breakfast is standard fare.

Sidney Gem

Posted Oct 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel is ideally situated for before- and after-flight overnight stays in Sidney, BC. The shuttle to and from both the airport and ferry is a bonus convenience. We'll definitely continue to stay there when our travel needs require time in Sidney.

Close to airport

Posted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Room needs maintenance
Location: Lots of smalls hops and restaurants
The staff at the hotel were very helpful and pleasant but the hotel needs some maintenance. Half of the lightbulbs in our room were burnt out, the clock would not turn on and the air conditioner did not work properly so the room was very hot since none of the windows opened. The hotel is very close to the airport and has a decent free breakfast. It is also within walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants. It is okay for a short stopover from the airport
