Excellent service

Pros: Staff service and the lounge area beside the restaurant which was well designed and a relaxing space to be in.
Cons: upgrading of the exterior stairways/corridors which looked a little tired.
Location: St Germain en Laye is a lovely place to spend a day. Excellent traditional market.
The staff at Campanile were, without exception, friendly and helpful. They spoke excellent English too and considering the poor quality of my French, this made for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Autoroute cafe!!

Disappointed to arrive and find that the catering services (i.e. restaurant) have again been downgraded (I have stayed here for 20 years or so) to the equivalent status of a (British) motorway pit stop (French autoroute cafes are generally better!). I was looking forward to a decent (freshly cooked and served) meal. Quality of hot food provided (from a container) was fine but the whole process was unacceptable and one which I will not be repeating with my groups. You have just destroyed one of the two main reasons for staying at your hotels.

Good if all you need is a bed for the night

As expected from a Campanille - clean quiet room but TV didn't work, wifi didn't work, I could get an iron but no ironing board.I turned up at 10pm and left by 7am, If I had been staying any longer I would have booked somewhere else.

very noisy

We travel by car from England and thought will be cheaper to get a hotel outside Paris but there is a toll from the hotel to Paris, it was 7.80 euro. Unfortunately you hear everything that´s going on outside and next rooms. If the other customers arrive late night you will know everything about. The rooms are very clean but small like most of hotels in Paris. The location is not the best.. there is some restaurants arround but not good and very expensive

Friendly Service

We stayed at this hotel on our way back from the South of France because of it's proximity to Versailles. The staff were very helpful. and welcoming. Our french is very basic and all the staff were happy to speak English. We used the restuarant each evening, Jesse the waiter was most attentive and the food was delicious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone driving through France and wanting to visit Versailles & Paris and come back to peace and quiet.
