For the location, the hotel is very reasonably priced. However, you get what you paid for.
There is only one elevator for the entire hotel which means you’re waiting a very long time to get downstairs. The elevator is also quite small so in addition to the usual long wait for the elevator, when checking out, not only are you waiting a long time, you also have to wait until there’s room in the elevator. We had to wait through TWO FULL elevator passings before we could get on with our luggage.
Even more upsetting was finding a water bug on the lamp next to the bed on our last day before our scheduled check out. Understanding these are quite common in NYC, it was discomforting to find one so close to where I’d been sleeping.
On a positive note, the staff at the continental breakfast were extremely pleasant and friendly, as was the poor woman from housekeeping who assisted with the water bug.
