Renovated May 2017. A charming cottage located in the heart of Shem Creek just over the bridge in Mt. Pleasant. This pet friendly cottage consists of 2 bedrooms each with queen size beds and one bathroom. Living area opens into the kitchen with a dining table for four and traditional coastal cottage decor. A complete renovation of the property, brand new furnishings, great outdoor space and the proximity to great views, activities and food make this the perfect vacation get away. Enjoy the spacious yard while dining al fresco or walk to one of the great restaurants near by. This property is located a block from the waters of Shem Creek and you can rent kayaks and paddle boards from a vendor right at the waters edge. Within a 3 block radius there are 18 restaurants and bars, 2 coffee shops, a beverage super store, a farmers market, and 2 antique malls. The heart of downtown Charleston is a 12 minute drive and the beach at Sullivan's Island is 3 miles away. The Historic district of the Old Village is walking distance and offers many beautiful antebellum homes, several nice shops and a first class restaurant. Little things
Lacks a welcoming feel. The owner wants guest to strip bed and start a load of towels. That should be a no no. Besides the towels are so stained they should be thrown away.That alone is a turn off. No napkins, no tissues all says no welcome. Little things matter. The front porch furniture is falling apart should be replaced

Beautiful, clean, conveniently located house!
Everything was easy from start to finish. We loved our stay in this pet-friendly home, which was exceptionally clean, well-stocked, and conveniently located to local restaurants and bars. I would definitely stay here again. There is also a cute outdoor area. The location felt safe and the doors, windows, and locks were all secure. Easy, prompt communication with the owner. We had no issues at all -- we just communicated to extend our stay.

Great location and Cute House
We enjoyed our stay. The house is located in a great location. Cute neighborhood within walking distance to Shim Creek restaurants and shopping. The house is clean and very comfortable. Joe, the owner, was very easy to work with from the reservations thru check out. Very friendly. We had a wonderful stay in Charleston. Would definitely stay here again.
