Caution Do Not Rent this Unit or from Ocean Breeze Vacations
The reason I chose this unit was simply for the price. I have stayed at Chateau by the sea before and the location is great. The previous condo was also in great condition. This condo not so much. Please read all other reviews as the condo was dirty, the carpet is completely stained, beds are uncomfortable and, doors are rusted as noted in all other reviews. I knew all of this from reading reviews on VRBO but the price was better and I wanted the location on the beach. If you rent this condo, do a video walk through of the entire place and inspect every detail as they are now trying to claim I damaged the couch cushion which I know for a fact we did not. We covered the couch with a blanket as the couch was disgusting to sit on. They charge you a refundable deposit and a damage waiver fee for accidental and non-intentional damages but I am still charged an additional arbitrary and exorbitant fee for a cushion. I never reached out upon arriving or leaving as I never saw the damage being reported. I received an email stating I was getting my deposit back and then another email that I am to be charged for damages that were not reported. The damage shown was on the backside of the cushion as I would of seen and reported a hole in the front had I seen it. A reasonable renter should not have to inspect all sides of a couch cushion and worry about being charged an excessive fee after leaving. Google Ocean Breeze and see all the poor reviews from their rentals.

We do encourage guests to report issues, if any are found, immediately. This is listed in our Rental Agreement: Upon arrival, please inspect your rental property and immediately report, along with photos emailed to our office, any issues or significant damage to our office to ensure that you will not be held accountable for the damage. A Housekeeping or Maintenance tech will be dispatched immediately to the property. Any issues with cleaning MUST be reported when you first arrive and not after you have occupied the property for any length of time. We cannot rectify or validate any cleaning issues after you have occupied the property. Looking over your reservation notes, there were no reports about cleanliness or any other issues from you during your stay. Check in is at 4pm and is clearly stated in all of the correspondence. I'm sorry if you missed this information when booking your reservation. The units are inspected before and after each guest and there was no damage before your arrival. Also listed in the RA: If there is damage to the property, additional charges will also be deducted from the credit card on file. Should manager be unable to recover costs from the credit card on file, Tenant is responsible to provide an alternative method of reimbursement within 48 hours of notification. The damage waiver fee of $59 covers accidental damages up to $1000 that are reported by the guest. Again, there were no reports from you during your stay.

Long term rental.
The view is awesome. The place is big enough for a family of 4 to enjoy their time there. Full kitchen, dishwasher and washer/dryer I tried to extend my time there but it was rented out. The initial cleaning could have been a little better. Found a big grasshopper in the slider track. The master bedroom should be updated and the carpet replaced. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay there. Separate note, the unit is on the third floor and stairs are the only access. Overall. I wanted to stay there until my home was finished. Close to everything you’d need for a short or long term visit. The area is pretty quiet so a good night sleep is possible. Windows open you can hear the waves crashing. I would recommend.

Overall nice condo, clean, good value. Would stay here again. Some how I missed the “3rd floor walk-up” in the description. Toilet paper and a few other essentials should be included in the linen package.

When we arrived at the property , the wrong code to unlock the door had been sent, it took us a few minutes to get someone on the phone for the correct code, Overall the property was fine, the bottom screw was missing on the door handle for the sliding door , might want someone to check it our, we were careful when opening the door. other than that everything was Ok ,

Good Place to Stay
It was like it was described. It was on the third floor with two bedrooms and a great layout. It had a great ocean view from the living area and master bedroom. Loved seeing the dolphins in the water when we were on the beach. Nowhere in the description did it mention that you had to climb four flights of stairs with luggage because there was no elevator. Would like to see the carpet ripped up and place the wooden floor to the bedrooms too.

Beach trip
Very nice rental, the only bad thing was no elevator. Lugging heavy suitcases and grocery bags plus countless trips to and from the beach was very difficult since i stayed on the 3rd floor. No elevator would be my reason for not coming back. Other than that, we had an awesome time! -Dawn

A week of relaxation
While the property was perfectly located, the trek up and down the three flights of stairs multiple times a day is a consideration for next visit. The condo itself was clean, however, the plates and dishes in the cupboards were all very dirty, and the area under the microwave heating plate had mold spots a grime. The beds were very comfortable, but the pillows were flat and need replacing as they had brown rings all over them. The view from the balcony was excellent. The balcony does need some repair work, though, as the banister was detaching from either side of the wall and the balcony sagging in the middle. There was some water damage in the ceiling in the bedroom. The bathroom showers were aged and very stained and dirty, but useable. Other than that stay was relaxing.

Great Ocean Front View
Great location, great view, well equipped and furnished. Nice new kitchen. Pool was nicer than expected. I would love to give it five stars however I do feel that it could have been cleaner and it would have been nice to have better instructions for how the key code lock worked because we found that it wasn't always locked when we thought it was locked.

Perfect
Our overall stay at this location was perfect! It was centralized to everything we needed. We always look for spots right on the beach and with patio over seeing the ocean. Interior was clean and had the kitchen essentials. Sink disposal wasn’t working but the tech was out there that same day and repaired the next so they do respond rather quick. Parking was different for us. There’s parking spots under the building itself so it for sure keeps vehicles cool I’m the blazing sun. The linens and towels were there ready wrapped up and sanitized which left us with a peace of mind that we had clean sheets. No elevators so be ready to carry your luggage to the 3rd floor. There are two things that got me though, AC filter needs replacing and the master restroom sink is not meant for anyone over 5’11” (my height). It’s rests below my waist line. Overall it was perfect for our little family Thanks!

39 steps to the Condo
You have to carry all your things up 39 steps no elevator. When you get in the condo you have a bag with all your linens in them. You have to make your bed. The kitchen package has a dish cloth, dish towel and one hot pad. You have to take your own toilet paper, paper towels, kleenex, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, soap etc. All has to be carried up the 39 steps. It would have been good if I had know about the steps before I booked. We had to make four trips to take all our things up.

We’re sorry your stay was not as great as you expected. This property does not have an elevator, which is listed all booking sites. Paper products, soaps, etc., are not included and this information is in all correspondence sent to guests. Linen is delivered, sanitized and wrapped in plastic, to all guests. This, too, is listed on our booking sites and in the correspondence sent to every guest. We are truly sorry that you missed this information when reading and signing your rental agreement. We appreciate that you stayed with us and we are sorry your stay wasn't more enjoyable.

Nice area- musty & needs updating
This rental needs some TLC. The booking process and management company was easy to work with- but be warned, you have to unwrap and put all the mattress covers, sheets, and towels on the beds when you get there. It’s not like other rentals in that they don’t even put a trash bag in the trash can for you. It’s very bare bones. The carpet was dirty, the door handle broke off the balcony sliding door after we tried to open it. It smells musty & is generally old, rusty, and is a basic 3rd floor walk up. The beds weren’t comfortable either. It was pretty clean and it’s a nice part of the beach- just needs some love! The rental company did promptly come out and work on the door the next day to get it functioning and replaced a missing lightbulb and the other door that wouldn’t open.

Nothing special but gets the job done
If you’re wanting a place that’s just “Okay” then this is your condo. We arrived and noticed a couple things broken/not working and were pleasantly surprised they had maintenance come within the day to fix them. Wish they had somewhat of an early check in policy. Great views as it’s right on the beach, close to most of the main attractions and has everything you need to make it feel like your own place for the time being. It says in the description there’s no elevator so we couldn’t be mad but these stairs are not for the weak! Lol

Great ocean view!
We loved being oceanfront! Condo was as expected and we had a great time. The 3 flights of stairs did get tiring after a few days, but we knew there was no elevator and we got some good cardio in. The biggest negative was that we got a call that the room was not going to be ready at 4, as advertised, and we did not get in the room until almost 5:30. They did good on communicating this to us, but still a little annoying to be there and have to wait.

Wonderful Stay!
We certainly had a very enjoyable stay at CBSH3! The description was accurate as far as no elevator being on the property, but it honestly wasn't an issue for us once we got all the luggage up. The only suggestion I have would be to replace the microwave & maybe have the balcony door adjusted to more easily open & close. Other than that, everything fit our needs just as we needed. We even made some connections with other residents on the property! We will definitely book this location again & can't wait to do so! Even has us considering possible ownership one day!

Ocean Front
The location was excellent. Close to everything we wanted to do, dining options, mini golf and beach! The condo itself was very outdated and just felt dirty. The master bedroom had a double bed not a queen. Perhaps I read the description wrong but that was not expected. I wouldn't stay in this unit again. Also, the three flights of stairs, although yes in the description, are narrow and steep. Made it very tiresome during the day when you have to go back and forth.

Lovely time spent at the beach
The property was clean and steps away from the beach. The condo was on the 3rd floor, but it was in the description. I missed reading it. But we had no issues, beautiful sunrise all three days of our stay. Close to parasailing, and banana boat rides on the beach. Kids enjoyed the most. Thanks to the owner for the lovely accommodation!

Great 3-night Getaway

Enjoyed stay; everything in working order; needs elevator(hard to carry up 3 flights of steps)
Everything was nice, we enjoyed, Loved sitting on balcony & watching ocean, sunrise + Full Moon rise. Also, our 1st time at N.Myrtle Beach thru freezing rain/sleet storm(28degrees)on Sunday 22nd;ALL was fine. Do suggest elevator or some type of lift to get luggage + groceries to 3rd floor. Great lication
rental process okay. Didn't receive our door code. I had to call, luckily office was open. Cleanliness of unit should have been better. Bathrooms were not very clean, and kitchen cupboards were sticky and had visible food on them. Bedroom quilt had red stains (sent pics to ocean breeze) Refrigerator had broken produce drawer. Toilet seat had to be repaired. Location was great. We wouldn't rent this one again. Could have rented in same building for about 200 less, and clean.

Loved the view!
Was a little smaller than we thought but was very nice for the price! The view was amazing and thr beach wasn't as busy as some other parts of the beach which was awesome. We knew before we went there was no elevator but it does kinda suck when you wanna come and go a lot. All in all we would definately stay again!

Girls weekend
We enjoyed the closeness of the beach and pool. Enjoyed spending time hanging out and easy access to nearby restaurants. We had no TV access for the entire stay which was a real bummer during the evening hours!! Other than the issue with not even being able to enjoy a movie the rest of the trip was ok.

Not worth the price you pay during peak season
Condo was right on the beach with an oceanfront view. There is NO ELEVATOR so being in good physical shape is a must if you're on the third floor. 1.5hrs lugging up 6 flights of stairs was quite the experience but I knew it going in no ELEVATOR so definitely not doing that again. No management on site so you can only call to talk to someone or leave a message. Got texted a code at 4pm not 3pm like VRBO said to gain access to unit. Has a washer dryer in the unit which is nice. Kitchen came fully stocked with dishes and utensils. Also a dishwasher but we did not use it during our week stay. Place had a beachy vibe, but some bathrooms were outdated with wall trim used as bathroom counter trim, and floor trim was placed on the kitchen counters, first time ever seeing that. Kids bathroom smelled quite moldy so we left the exhaust fan on to help with the smell. Bedrooms were nice sized, cable did not work in the living room, cable worked in the bedrooms. It looked a little moldy in master bedroom around the air vent with dark spots around it. I was sneezing up to 10+ times a day here not sure why. There was brown mold in the sealant of the kids bath tub, black substance on sealant on the master toliet, brown stain next to the trashcan on kitchen cabinet. Besides those issues the rest of the unit was clean. Balcony had a good view. Overall I'd rate it 6/10, I'll post pictures of everything I described here so any future vacationers can see.

Great Ocean view
We had a nice visit and enjoyed the Ocean View. It was clean and decorated in a nice beach them. The sliding doors to the outside Lanai were hard to open and shut, the recliner chair didn’t recline. We knew there was No Elevator when we booked but be warned it is a lot of steps when carrying luggage and groceries. Located on quieter end of beach was nice but it was a ling walk to Main Street.

Nice location
The condo was just right for me and a friend. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom. By the time the management company returned my call, I was already back home.

Great value for the price
The property was exactly as described. The view was amazing! Can’t beat the 2 minute walk to the beach! The condo itself was dated, but was clean. I think the owner could spend some money & spruce it up some. Overall, would stay again!

Nice place on the beach!
Sat through our first tropical storm, a few minor things to fix after the storm but the property was there within a few hours of the call. Perfect location for a less crowded beach and proximity to things to do. Enjoyed our week!

GIrls trip
we didn't see the larger staircase until the end of the trip. Wish I noticed when I booked that it didnt have an elevator (we muscled up though). I loved how close it is to the beach and loved drinking coffee on the deck. Very close to the grocery store and a perfect place walk as I did twice each day. The rooms are not stocked with alot of outlets which made plugging in things difficult, but again we survived! We loved it
