Not impressed

Had a good stay last year when it was sheraton, since they switched to double tree and my recent stay there was the worst expereince ever in a hotel in Miami!

GREAT SERVICE AND GREAT SHUTTLE SERVICE.

Is a great option if you dont have too much time to stay in Miami, the shuttle is so convinience, and runs every 30’ with a great service. Great food and delivery room service, and very clean and comfortable rooms with everything you may need. Also is located in the same building of a mart where you can find presents for everybody in discount prices, or buy your own food at the food stand over there.

Good Hotel

Never Again

I was not satisfied with my stay at the Miami mart double tree. The hotel did not list that you had to pay for parking and on top of that if you left the lot you would have to pay to reenter the lot. The parking lost flooded when it rained and there is not much cover since you have to walk out side to get into the convention center. The fixtures were broken in our bathroom and there were no toiletry supplies when I arrived. The elevators were breaking down all weekend. Several guest and I were actually stuck in the elevator at one point. Most of the staff spoken very broken English and I had a hard time understanding them so it was difficult to communicate the problems with my hotel stay. I will never stay at this hotel again nor will I recommend it to anyone I know.

Great stay

I was in town to attend a conference held at the Miami Mart. The hotel was great. Very pleased with the complimenatary shuttle service to and from the airport. The staff was very friendly and inviting. Also to my liking was the mini mall located inside the hotel. That was enjoyable, convenient and passed my time. Great area for using the complimentary internet service as well. The hotel is somewhat of a drive to the beach. Recommend staying near the beach if traveling to Miami for that purpose. However, if renting a car while there then it’s not that long of a ride. One night ordered dinner from an outside place other than the hotel and when they delivered they billed me higher than what i was told over the phone. Also on arrival they claimed they didn’t have change for a $20. Ended up overpaying for the dinner. Ordered food at the bar in the hotel the next night and the food was great. Overall enjoyed my stay.

Absolutely great!

Great Hotel!...great service, comfortable and clean rooms, kind people, market on your hand, great view, quiet, peacefull, excellent!

Not free wireless in the room. You have to pay 9 dollars aprox. to get the service or go to the lobby to get it for free.

Glad to have found a deal

I believe the Double Tree was good as long as I had the deal through Expedia! The extra day was great, but I don’t believe that I should have paid the additional tax and other fees while having the free day. The door to my room did not work all of the time which was never fixed and no offer to compensate was offered. If I was spending my own money, thise would have made me a little upset with the way the management handled it. Paying for the parking is not a good idea when your are a paying guest at the hotel. I can see this if the hotel was downtown , line in New York and Chicago.

Hotel is good if your staying there overnight close to the airport. But the noise from the planes are a little distracting.

Expected more

The bed was very comfortable, but otherwise everything else wasn’t pleasant. There was a weird odor coming from the bathroom vent, the elevators were not maintained very well, never received room service, requested breakfast that I never received. Overall, it was not what I expected from a Hilton Hotel.

Excellent Place to Stay and Explorer

The Miami Mart Doubltree Hotel was an amazing place to stay, our ice machine was not working and we had to go up or down a floor to get a soda, since vending machines were located on every other floor. The staff was awesome and were more than welcome to assist or reach out to someone who could help. The pool and views were amazing, I would recommend this hotel to those who want to relax and stay near the airport. Transportation, especially during large events is impossible to find in Miami, whether it be a cab, a shuttle or a limo there is always a long wait and difficult to obtain. The best bet if you are planning on spending any time downtown or in Miami Beach, to stay at one of the other Hilton Family Hotels, (Doubletree, Hilton, Hampton, etc.)

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Make sure that you have a rental car and plan out parking, especially if Miami is hosting any type of large event. The bus system is great if you can figure out the times, but do not rely on the taxi services because they are quite unreliable.

Will stay again.

Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel overall very clean. Rooms are comfortable. The only negative is the language barrier. Housekeeping staff difficult to communicate with. Some did not speak english. When in Rome.......

Not bad For the Money

This hotel was good for the price i booked it for. The hotel itself looks very nice, and the staff seems to be very nice. The only complaint is i had called a few days earlier, and asked if they had early check in. The hotel receptionist told me that yes it was available. To my surprise, upon arriving at the hotel there seemed to be a problem when i asked about checking in early. Another thing, the first room that we occupied had a toilet overflow. They were very timely with their response to the situation thou. We were then transfered to a different room. The only thing i have a problem with is that i don’t think they change the sheets all the time. I called a couple of times and still noticed that they had not changed them. But overall i was pleased with the hotel.

Nice Place, a little far from South Beach though

The hotel was comfortable, but we had to get new room keys every day because they would demagnatize. The cab rides to south beach were a little steep from the hotel too...

A little pricey for the value

Our first room had a bad bed;saggy and squeaky, but the front desk assigned us a new room just a few doors down that was just fine. To compensate for our trouble they gave us vouchers for free breakfast at the hotel which was good because there weren’t many places nearby to eat. We had to take a cab to dinner the night before. The staff was very friendly and helpful though. The room quiet and comfortable. Did have slow elevators and at one time only 1 of the 3 was working.

Probably wouldn’t go back

There were only three elevators for this hotel. One never worked and the other two took 8-15 min. to get to you. We would eventually take the stairs which were a little trashy. The employees were very nice and the rooms were nice but . . . the elevators were a BIG problem. The interesting thing is we never saw anyone working on them and the workers seemed to act like this was a normal thing. As we were waiting for the elevators one other guest commented that the one elevators didn’t work the last time she had stayed there. Sad to say . . . we were disappointed.

Recently Renovated

The hotel looks good from its renovation from the Sheraton to the Doubletree. The elevators are slow which would be my only complaint. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

Great Place to STAY

We would definately go back, but this time include the breakfast package. The resturant was pricey for breakfast, we were quoted 19.00 per person, much less if you include it with the room. Many guests went to the fast food place in the mall, not bad food, but a bit pricey for fast food, and small portions. Otherwise the hotel was wonderful!

Great place, but,

Very nice, lighting in bathroom area could brighter. Would like to be able to turn off fan as it is very noisy.

Awesome time!

Had a great time while I was there,the buffet for 15.00 was a great deal and the food was good. Only problem had, was when I had to ask housekeeping to empty the trash in the room and wash out the tub. Over-all the room was great.

Very comfortable

The Miami Mart Airport Hotel is a great place to stay; close proximity to shopping and other attractions and the ease of access to and availability of transport via their shuttle service was noteworthy.
