"My family (my parents, my wife, and I – four adults) stayed at the Red Bear Den for three nights from September 16 to 18. This was our first time using Vrbo, and the experience was excellent. The Bear Den was clean, tidy, and beautifully decorated — it truly felt like home. The location is perfect, right between downtown Fairbanks and Chena Hot Springs. We also found it to be a much better value than the nearby igloos, which were far more expensive. On our very first night, we saw the northern lights for the first time in our lives! They lasted for about three hours, and it was an unforgettable experience. What made it even more special was that we could watch them right from the Bear Den’s backyard — no need to drive half an hour away to escape city lights. It felt private, comfortable, and magical. We also made a trip to Chena Hot Springs to enjoy the hot springs and visit the Aurora Ice Museum, which was only a 30-minute drive from the cabin. Back at the Bear Den, we had great fun playing the scavenger hunt. The host couple was very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely choose the Bear Den again if we return to Fairbanks in the future."
"Perfect Alaska getaway at the cabin. Perfectly furnished, cozy, clean, and with just the right amount of amenities balanced with leaving the world behind. Maria was an outstanding host - quick and accurate communication. Highly recommended stay. My wife and I loved our time at the cabin."
"The cabin was very neat and clean. Bunk beds were comfortable. Outhouse was well stocked. Water jugs were kept stocked. Water tasted great. Very calm and relaxing area. Thanks for the wonderful stay. "
"Wow, this place is so cool! The details and effort they put in are amazing. I'll definitely be back! I'm not sure about using VRBO again, though. Luckily, the host was super accommodating, and our stay was perfect. Thanks!"
"I was hesitant to stay in a dry cabin, but we extended our trip and all "regular" cabins were already booked. Brenda is a super host, making sure we were comfortable and had all we needed. We could see the Northern Lights right outside the cabin or even by looking out the large window inside the cabin. Would definitely stay again!"
