“We have stayed here before and as last time, it was perfect. Charles is a wonderful host and when we turned up late on a Sunday evening with few local dining opportunities, he created a delicious platter of cheeses and meats for us, including an aged Brillat-Savarin that was just divine. He helped us get away for the channel crossing on time by accommodating us a bit early for breakfast. The room (Reims) was very comfortable, with a shower and bath. Highly recommended.”

“La chambre était très correcte, propre. La direction de l'hôtel est très avenante et vous réserve un accueil irréprochable. La salle de restauration sert au petit-déjeuner que vous prenez sur place ou pour diner un plat que vous vous réchaufferez (des plats préparés en bocaux peuvent être achetés sur place). La salle de bains comprenait un lavabo et une baignoire; les toilettes sont séparées. La literie était confortable. La TV fonctionnait et proposait suffisamment de chaines pour s'endormir……

“This property is two rooms next to a small hotel. There is no check-in desk, instead you are meant to fill in an online form and let them know your arrival time. We hadn't seen that instruction, and nobody answered when we phoned the number on the door at 8pm. Luckily a local was passing and was able to help contact the hotel and get us in. Once we were in the room was nicely decorated with a good shower. Bed was two singles pushed together with a double sheet over and worked reasonably well as……
