He's also very friendly with the guests..good convesation and good turkish cafe. I really recomend Athena Pension... This pension has also big garden to rest after visiting the touristic areas also is well located in an peaceful area, no noise from the street. And close, there is small restaurant for breakfast with friendly staff and turkish breakbast and cheap. We ended up extending our stay. The rooms are in what used to be part of a karavanserai (we slept in converted stables) and are basic but clean and comfortable. If you ask the owner to fix breakfast, you will get to taste wonderful local spreads, cheeses and pastries, and perhaps some things you would normally not get to taste. The beautiful garden was great to relax in after visiting the city and sites. Only negative were the town’s dogs barking all night, and the muezzin seemed to have taken residence inside our room, so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
