“Staff was very helpful and courteous. Rooms were clean and spacious. Older carpet will soon need to be replaced. Breakfast was very good. Dining area was clean and food was replenished as needed.”

“My room was on the 2nd floor, no elevator the owner's wife had to help me bring my bags up. The stairs were so steep, she said to just call in am and someone would help me carry my bags back down, but no one answered at 7am and the night bell was on. So I took my time, 1 step at a time. This is a basic hotel for construction workers, no coffee, no breakfast. Blah!”

“I'm sad to say that this hotel was pretty awful. After staying at this property for 50 years while visiting family, I won't go back. Unfortunately basic maintenance isn't a priority. The first room I was in had an area by the sink where the floor had been removed and a board & carpet placed on top. The board was not sturdy. Dangerous. The door sweep was laying next to the door. Cold air & light entering the room. I was moved to another room which was better. I could still see light around the……

“Ms Darla was very helpful. She gave me pointers on the washer and dryer. $2 (quarters) each for front load washer and dryer. Room 104 near the office has front and back door entrances with parking near both. Plenty of hot water and water pressure. Mini fridge and freezer was great. Plenty of towels, great AC cooling. Basic two queen motel room, satisfactory for short stay. Cons. No pool, no ice machine, no coffee in lobby or continental breakfast. Coffee machine in room worked very……

“This property has a great location. It is atop a hill, so you have a great view of the mountains and the surrounding valley. A great view of the castle rock for which the town is named. If concerned about safety, the CHP yard is directly behind the hotel. Overall, a great location in my opinion.”
